Hi,
I see that the screen shot function works perfectly on Android (now even has an auto refresh option!)

How hard would it be to ad the functionality to actually control the phone GUI via the PC (mouse & keyboard)?

Used to have software for windows mobile called MyMobiler that could do this.

If you could add this functionality, your software would be at least 300% better than even MyMobiler (which was quite good to say the least)!!!

Please, when saving the smss in an excel file, add a column describing if it's an outgoing or ingoing sms.

This feature is a generic list-export without ability to export colors or other meta-data which work with all lists. For a real export use rightclick->Import/Export

It would be great if this application could compress photos before they are synced to the phone.


Internal memory just isnt big enough for full resolution photo collections.

Do you mean contact-pictures ? If yes, they are already compressed by MPE to max 4KB. Cause you have no write-access to the internal phonestorage i think it would make no sense to compress anything before uploading a file.

I soooooooooooo love the conversation feature for sms's but if it could be implimented that you can copy a conversation to the archive as apposed just the inbox or sent items that would be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

Can you make it so the android app does not always show in the task bar, can it hide away?

A widget would be nice.

Is this little icon really annoying ? i think not.

Thank you for the application.
I've been using it with my SE models for long.

I request you if u can make the application compatible with the BADA OS from SAMSUNG.
Now BADA is catching up with the smartphone market and it would be really good to have ur app for BADA mobiles also.
U might also have the info that WAVE running BADA OS has a million sales int hte first month of its release itself.

@MPE fan. As far as i saw mobical is basicly a backup-storage for PIM-date and the pro of this solution is that you need no software or cable. So where is the sense to sync with it ? The phone is already able to do it. i see no sense

I'm using v1.7.6 and noticed that call logs in MPE are cut off after several months

I would like to know
1) if they are truncated in GUI only and there's still full call log in the MPE directory which I can process manually?
2) if there's possibility to store unlimited call logs on PC (for at least 1 year or even better - have this setting editable via Options)

Another issue is that I can't view SMSC for messages moved to archive - seems to be a bug.

1) MyPhoneExplorer loads only 300 calls from phone, in the settings you can select how long MPE should store them
2) For Android-Phones i did remove the read out of SMCS-Info cause in practice this information is never used

If not - then it's a feature proposal from me I want to have more statistical data about my phone usage or possibility to find number not from my phonebook after several months. Basically I want a call log in text format where data is appended to it on ongoing basis every time I sync calls data with my phone. So I can analyze and see which numbers do I call more often (and how often in i.e. 3 months timeframe), how many incoming calls I have per month and compare with prev. year, etc.
Of course, I can get detailed log from my provider, but they charge extra for it.

re:2) It's not about android - I'm talking about Ericsson/SE phones - when I click on message I can see from/to, timestamp, SMSC, message text, even original PDU but after you move message to archive and click on it SMSC info is removed (or not shown?).

1) Oh - not android ? then i have no good news for you: The phone itself stores only the last 30 calls

I wish to have one small neat feature in MPE.

In the Inbox, when I receive an SMS from an unknown number and I know that guy, I wish to add/save that number in my contact list so in future his name appears instead of his number.

For that I have to open the sms, select the number and copy it to clipboard, then go to Contacts section and create new contact and then paste the number and save the contact.

Just like email softwares (outlook, thunderbird, hotmail etc) .. there should be an option within the Inbox to save the unknown number into contact list. For example, when I right click on the sms, the context-menu should have option like "Add this number to contacts". And when I click that it should display the new contact window with the number already typed into it, all I have to type now is the name for this new contact and click save.

That would be very easy to save new numbers.
I see this feature already exists in call log section of MPE. ("Add number to phonebook"). Kindly add this in SMS Inbox as well.

No, I didnt mean contact picutres. Thanks for getting back so quick and I'll try to elaborate below.

I like to have lots of photo albums on my android phone (Galaxy S) to show pictures of family, etc. The screen is great for showing pictures but I dont really need them to be the full resolution because the phone screen is so small anyway. Full resolution pictures quickly fill up my phone memory so some way of compressing them on their way from computer to phone would be great.

To get them on there with MPE I set up a sync folder any they are synced onto the phone. They are treated as full size photos though so storage becomes an issue. The default galaxy S software (which overal is terrible) actually compresses photos as they are synced to your phone, iphones do a similar thing. So in practice whats on the phone is a smaller picture, taking up less space.

Might be more than a little complicated but thought I'd throw it out there. Fantastic piece of software you have here and really excited to see it come to the android phones.

Your idea is basicly interesting. Just for understanding: How would you "use" this feature ? Do you often upload photos from camera to phone ?

У меня есть несколько предложений:
1. Добавьте возможность создания в календаре не только событий «День рождения» но и другие события «День смерти», «Свадьба» и другие которые наиболее распространены. А то помнить все даты невозможно, особенно если знакомых и родственников много.

Исправьте пожалуйста, если это ошибка. Когда в программе создать новое событие «День рождения» через раздел «Органайзер» для несуществующего контакта. В телефоне после синхронизации в календаре не пишет что это день рождения. Но если создать день рождения через раздел «Контакты» все в порядке, но только пишет, сначала имя, отчество, а потом уже фамилию что немного неудобно.

Sorry, both requests cannot be implemented.
1) Whats the problem ? You can set a yearly repeating event called "Day of dead Mr. xy"
2) There is no way to control the "Birthday Icon" in phone in any case
