Would like to respectively ask if you could add the field for “Groups”. Like “Family”, “Friends” and “Business” etc. I have 500+ contacts and it really helps to have “Group’” to put them in. Thanks for the great program.

please include support for huawei ideos android sets.
currently i am unable to connect my set with computer with this software but other phone managers connect it. i like phone explorer so please add this option for huawei

Did you follow the steps in this FAQ's?

Speciallay:
- installed drivers?
- installed MyPhoneExplorer-Client?
- enabled Debugging Mode (if connected via USB)?

yes i have follow everything
buti am getting error that connection forcefully rejected ,

myphone explorer is unable to connect but other softwares are able to connect
i am using a software which is in chineese langauge, that is not alterate to myphone explorer , coz myfone explorer is best available software for fone managment

one thing that might help/

myfone explorer on fone shows that waiting for connection .. at right that moment i tried to connect software from pc but it fails
i have install all drivers

Thanks for letting me know that "Groups" would be added. I have one more request that might be related. I am using a Samsung Captivate and in the phone listing there is a option to view "Favorites" after selecting several "Favorites" and doing a bakup restore the "Favorites" that were checked go away. I know this is not the place for problems but several of the contacts lose their photos when restored.

This modification is a feedback on experience with enormous amount of timestamp editing in MPE under Sent Items.
(We long-time SE/MPE users all know SE DB2020 and other platforms firmware bug prevents sending Sent Items Timestamp huh)

This should be straightforward usability speedup by factor of 5;

(if you already know the power of keyboard keys and shortcuts.Mouse-exclusive users will stay limited to "strain eyes and shoot" mode which is known to bring the productivity down for often repeated tasks but alas I digress..)

So this is the workflow;

When you find the SMS by filtering in your Sent Items folder
and open SMS for Timestamp editing,
and when you select Time: No indication
it would be very usable to sub-navigate dd:mm:yyyy byTAB, and also next tab would just continue to hh:mm:ss.(The already implemented cursor up-down for quick value +/- stays as it is)

Two field that appear dd:mm:yyyy and hh:mm:ss should be
...just one field, with yyyy:mm:dd:hh:mm:ss values navigable by TAB/ Alt-TAB for very quick editing via crsr up/down.
Also, next TAB after the end of field would navigate you to preselected "OK" field , as its default that you want just to edit timestamp, not the whole messsage.
Third Tab press could be in that line of workflow denote SMS editing,
Fourth would Preselect edited SMS for Forwarding it somewhere.

Esc would bring the user back to SMS list with the edited sms preselected, and "Move to Archive" button preselected to archive your work with "Enter" key to MPE and delete the SMS with the corrected Timestamp from the mobile.

I´m a older user and also a minor donator.

After the Android 1.6 to 2.1 update in the SE XPERIA family, whem i have the same contact in multiple accounts (e.g. Google, Facebook, etc), they are listed separated in Conctac window.

It´s possible to identify which account is the contact?
Or better, to group them?

Hi!

I just tried MyPhoneExplorer on my Android phone. It works fine except one annoyance:

First I synced my contacts from Outlook to my empty (factory reset) phone.
It worked fine.
Then I synced the calendar from Outlook. Now I had to manually tick 200 times, denying synchronization of birthday events. Very tiresome.

Reason:
In my Outlook contacts, I have 150 contacts where 100 of them have their a birthdate in their profile. As soon as these 150 contacts were synced to the Android phone, apparently Android immediately create repeating Birthday events in its calendar.
In Outlook I already have repeating Birthday events for the contacts.
When I sync the calendars (both ways), all 100 "android birthdays (in English)" is added to the phone, and all 100 "outlook birthdays (in Swedish)" are synced to the phone. Result: I get double events both on the phone and in Outlook (4 reminders in total for one birthday).

So in order to not have all these duplicates, I had to manually select "Never sync this item again" 100 times for Outlook->phone and 100 times for Phone->Outlook.


My request is that there should be a checkbox in the settings to filter out all birthday synchronization, but I don't know if calendar events are tagged with a common and unique "birthday signature". If not, this is pretty hard.
...or the possibility to handle the items to be synced in bulk, like sorting the list based on type, then selecting all 200 birthday items and choose the action "Never sync this item again".
(besides sorting, there should be a pattern matching function where you can search for e.g. the word "birthday" and the Swedish translation "Födelsedag". In the result list, one should be able to press ctrl-a to select all and then perform a bulk action on them)

Fantastic software! I intend to donate immediately after sending this message.

I have one "simple" request, please update ALL Contact fields from Outlook. Why only the bare minimum? I put a lot of additional information in those fields... spouse, birthday, notes, etc. If you can push over some fields, all fields should be just as simple. Maybe even a simple checkbox form for what you want to sync.

I would be glad to make a second donation with such an addition.

@Dameon: MyPhoneExplorer was earlier a sync-Tool for SonyEricsson phones and so not all possible fields for Android are supported for sync. I will add the fields in one of the next updates

Export list of applications as .csv or similar (as well as clickable column headers in Applications view). Would help when reviewing and sorting of which apps are installed - useful for X10 Mini Pro where there isn't much memory and I need to prune apps before trying new ones...

Hello there, I love this application, it makes communication with friends and family so much easier in my life. However if I have to be picky there is just 1 (one and only) thing that gets to me. When I click to send a text message, that little window comes over and stops me doing anything! I HATE IT!! I'm sorry but please at least let me minimize the program to the tool-bar. I know it only takes a second or two to send; though as a power user every second counts.

I'll donate £10 if you do it, £5 if you don't.

This request is almost a bug report.

MyPhoneExplorer does not sync all fields from Outlook.
Sure, I expect some obscure and Outlook-specific fields to be missing on the synced copy on the phone, but it is even missing such a vital part as all the contact's phone numbers.

In my case, all my Outlook contacts with two Work or two Home numbers will only have one number per category in the copy on the phone.

Example in Outlook:
John Doe
Work phone: 311
Work phone #2: +46-8-123 123 311

The Contact John Doe on the Android phone will only contain
John Doe
Work phone: 311



Please add the possibility for multiple phone numbers of the same category, just like there can be multiple email addresses.
