Amazing piece of software system is MyPhoneExplorer!

Coming from a Nokia past, this software offers the equivalent of Nokia PC/Ovi Suite for my Android phone. The only missing part is syncing of notes between Outlook and phone. I understand that the absence of an "official"/in-built Android Notes app created the situation. But it would be amazing if MyPhoneExplorer just chooses any of the popular Android Notes app, e.g. Evernote or CatchNotes, etc. and set the app for syncing between Outlook/thunderbird notes and the Notes app.

Anyways, MyPhoneExplorer is simply awesome!!!!!!!

When you edit a contact and click on the Group button and enter text into the search box to search for a group, the search button is not localized. Still shows text in Dutch and not English.
Other than that... my experience w/ 1.8.1 has been wonderful.

First up, Works brilliantly on LG Optimus One both wired as well as wireless. I have gone through some pages of request but there are 94 so apologies if this has been asked for in the past and is not possible ...

Could we have capability to control the screen on the likes of MyMobiler for Windows Mobile. This would be really useful for troubleshooting devices remotely but connecting to a computer whose screen is shared.

Currently there are two options, Android Screencast / Vnc server, both reasonably complicated and require a rooted device to function.

Found a post where you mentioned that Root is required for Screen Control.

Hoping for the next best thing where we can atleast see the screen even if we don't have control.

Also the screenshot functionality does not seem to be working on Wifi connection.

Good morning. It would be nice to add support for middle name

I have failed to install 1.8.1 onto a old desktop PC with Chinese Window XP but able to install onto a laptop.b I have to revert back to version 1.8.0

So hope version 1.8.2 will come sonner.

I like version 1.8.1 to list out all the software in a spreadsheet xls

Other major update may be make use of USB link to extend tethering on HP to connected PC to surf the Internet

So about tbe smsing, im comming from TexDro and finding this app mutch better to use, im satisfied with everything it offers but one thing atm.

when i recieve sms thru myphoneexplorer the message is still viewable as unread on my phone. I want an option (like it is in TexDro, btw its in the app not on pc client) for making all incoming sms to be marked as read while connected to the Client on my pc. Thank you : )

Excellent software but.. ugly notification icon for Android. Please change it!

I've been using your software for a long time on my SE phones. I switched to an iPhone recently and I really miss MyPhone explorer. It's way better than itunes for contact management!

I wish that browsing the internal memory have more function than reading it. it will be great if we could also have a root access over it, so we could push apks or remove apks from the phone's internal memory.

Once again I lobby for a persistent connection for the client!

It could have an option for only being persistent when on WiFi-connection to SSID or even MAC adress of your device ...

I find that my solution with Tasker invoking MPE client when SMS recieved AND on MAC-adress of my router is far too single sided.
For instance, if I'm on my computer (which I am like all the time) and feel the urge to text my babe with some smooth loving, I have to GO GET my phone, which I find very silly.
The simple solution to all this would be to have my phone at hand at all times, but sometimes I do not.

Please, pretty please add an option for having the client online for more than 15 minutes ... or could the host program maybe keep polling the phone to keep the client awake?

Enable "Connect on startup" and in MultiSync "... when connection was etablished automatically". Even if the phone was not connected after startup MyPhoneExplorer should detect the phone automatically when plugged in

Thank you for an amazing application. It works brilliantly.

The only problem I have is that in Outlook, the 'file as' field is quite often different from the full name of the person. For example, I might have the full name set to their actual name, "James Smith", and their file as name set to the name I know them by, "Jim Smith". Currently, searching for "Jim" on my phone gives no results, as the file as field is ignored, and just the name field is used. The worst cases for this are when people go by their middle names, or a nickname which is totally different to their first name so they don't appear anywhere like where you expect them.

I would love to see an option to use the 'file as' field instead of the name field. Even if the Android contact manager doesn't support this field itself, with this setting MPE would simply insert the 'file as' field into the name field on the phone, and vice-versa when going in the other direction. (Note that if this were the case you would need to track what this option was set to on the previous sync, so that if it changes, you don't end up overwriting the wrong field.)

Any chance of this making it into the app? At the moment, my contacts are a real pain to use!

Thanks for a great tool! Would be great to support the 'Middle Name' contact field, which is fairly prominent in the Android UI and is useful for things like nicknames, as well as normal middle names.

As a usability improvement, I'd also suggest making the bulk import/export features more easy to find, as I initially concluded MPB didn't support these features because they were hidden in a context menu. e.g., add a contacts toolbar button, or an Extras menu item.
