button for multi sync
Brilliant s/w - would it be possible to add a dedicated button to perform multi sync (rather than just SHIFT F5). Regards & thanks

Sync options
I just noticed, that it seems that the sync button just applies to what ever I have open: i.e. if I have contacts open, it ONLY syncs contacts, if I have calendar open then it syncs calendar, tasks etc
Not sure if that's by design - if so, it would really be good to have a "little" sync button next to each section for "individual" syncing - and then a "sync all" button at the top that does everything in one press.
I am surprised this isn't default way of working - or perhaps there a setting I've missed ?
I think this would be a major help in daily work flow.
Hope that's helpful.

@Crazy850: Please try the current beta
@suniel: i'll take a look at this
@WU: The middlename is only synced with Outlook -> did you use Outlook-Sync ?
@Admirer: Use the special key < and > in the recipients-filter for incoming and outgiong messages
@clawnet: next version will contain also task-sync
@justcosmic1 / pop1: creating ruled events in MPE should be already possible, whats the problem ?
Shift + F5 is a general shortcut for "Refresh", it does work in every section. You can define a system wide shortcut for Multisync in the settings of MPE

"Currently, the android client does close after 15 minutes in idle. this is needed cause the client raises more power consumtion (it holds WiFi active and some other things)."
But for those of us who use MyPhoneExplorer and the android client as the permanent sms solution for connection with their phone, (whilst keeping the phone on the charger at all times near their PC, which I am sure a lot of people here do)... could you please allow this timeout of 15 minutes to be by-passed, so that constant restarting of the Android Client is not required to maintain connection at all times?
Many thanks.

It seems that the latest version 1.8.2 has the functionality to sync notes !
It creates a new app on the phone for this purpose.
Delete the sync and resync feature or knowhow?
Hello FJ,
I have one reoccuring meeting that disappeared and would like to restart the sync from scratch.
Is there a way to wipe the MyPhoneExplorer database?
... and then I can try and resync w/ my Lotus Notes to see if it reappears.

Task categories
Thank you for such a superb piece of software. As an Outlook user I find it makes Android a really practical OS.
So the new version 1.8.2, with its ability to sync tasks, was really good news. But could there be a version that allows task categories to be synced too? They make tasks much easier to use.

I think MPE is immensely useful, but there are some missing features that, at least for me, limits it usefulness quite a lot:
- it is not possible to choose the paths MPE looks for pictures. I have some apps that do not store pics in DCIM, so i have to manually move those pictures (at that's a pain). It is possible to create a sync task on mpe, but then one has to put every picture in the corresponding folder (which is even more troublesome).
Unfortunately, symlinks is not a possible solution since sdcard is fat formatted.
- It is great that MPE synchs with Thunderbird, but it only synchs all events from different calendars to a single (the default) calendar on Thunderbird. It would be great to synch calendars with the same name on the phone and Thunderbird.
- Tasks do not get synced with Thunderbird at all, and I am not sure "MPE Task" app is the best approach. On my phone at least, there is a local tasks account, "My Tasks", apparently same as there is a local calendar "My Calendar", so i guess other android apps work with this "default" database, as opposed to "MPE Tasks" one.
If these things get sorted out, MPE would certainly make my life easier, and would be among the 8 most donation-deserving free apps for android... but then there is the problem on how to donate.
Any plans on offering an alternative to Paypal? I would gladly send a note to an address via postal service if that was possible

files synchronisation
Hi
Can You add both side synchronization for files as its now only pc-phone or phone-pc. It will be very convenient to have it copy both ways according to file date change and it can ask which file to copy when both are changed. It will be very good option to share office files between devices.

Make clipboard available in Phone Keypad (aka Remote Control
Hello FJ
Great job again! I just looooove the new Remote Control Feature as it used to be clumsy with other Remotes.
There is only one feature missing for me: It would be really handy to be able to copy text - such as URLs - from PC to Android (to whatsapp for example).
Keep up the outstanding work!

Custom Field Mapping?
I'd love to be able to custom map Outlook fields to Android fields for contacts and maybe calendar. I was warned that your product can accidentally delete some non-standard Outlook fields when synchronizing a contact from the phone TO Outlook. I'm not sure if that's true, but I'm trying to find an answer before I try your product. Thanks!
Standard order for per-item sync options
I use the app to do 2-way sync with MS Outlook.
I love the ability to review what the sync is about to do on a per item basis.
This would be much easier to visually scan if the order of options per item were the same for each item.
For example, I create a new item in Outlook and also a new item on my phone. Each item comes up for sync, with correct suggested sync direction - great.
Each of the 2 items has three options for syncing:
For the new Outlook entry
*Create new entry in phone
*Delete entry in Outlook
*Never sync this entry in future
However, the order is different for the new phone entry
*Create new entry in Outlook
*Delete new entry in phone
*Never sync this entry in future
For me, a standard order per item for the 2 data sources would be easier to quickly do a visual scan. With colours and emboldening like you already have for the header of each item (which I find very easy to follow).
Might I suggest something like the following for a new item in Outlook;
*Phone - Create new entry
*Outlook - Delete new entry
*Never sync this entry in future
Then for a new item in phone:
*Phone - Delete new entry
*Outlook - Create new entry
*Never sync this entry in future
Should be more consistent, faster to read.
Love the app. Plan to donate when I get a job. Give me a yell if you want a hand coding.

@bgood
Every item I use in Outlook is heavily customised - fields, forms, scripts. I've been using MPE for a few weeks and have not had any of this data accidentally deleted, that I've noticed, but have not done a thorough audit or sandbox testing either.
I backed up my pst before using MPE and a couple of times since for fall back and baseline positions, but have not needed to use them at all.
That's my experience to date, if that's of any comfort to you in deciding whether to try out the app.

And I will do for it via Paypal.
I am using it just since four days and this app is GREAT !!!!
It replace easily HTC Sync I used until now.
I love particularly:
- Sync with Outlook
- SMS sending from PC
- SMS backup and edit
- Encryption with backup on the PC
Just some features I would appreciate to enhance:
- I HATE the phone number format in Android which is WITHOUT dot. It is too late now because all my dots disappeared but I WOULD LIKE VERY MUCH be able to use them (phone numbers may be reported "as is" without area code or anything else like this via an option for example)
- The Windows MyPhoneExplorer opens without keeping previous window size and place
- The "aknowledgment" or "Accusé de réception" doesn't appear ON the phone when a SMS is sending from PC
- MMS support ?
Certainly further improvements will be sought by following...

client disable auto connect
I've got client 1.0.14 on my desire. I've chosen the "auto start up" option, but how do I disable this?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Please, add auto-sync with Outlook every 15 minutes
Please, add auto-sync with Outlook every 15 minutes or every amount of time. This would be very nice to have the application open and syncing in the background witout having to press buttons and start multisync explicitly
Thanks
Thanks
shopping list
now that to-do list and notepad (memo) is there it would be awesome if you add shopping list. I'm lazy to type a word at a time in the mobile would be much faster in PC and then sync.. what do you say?
