Same problem, so it depends NOT on the drivers or something else. Could you try the older version 1.4.5 (you can get it on my homepage)

Version 1.4.5 worked for me fine before, but now i tried it again and it gives the same error... very very strange

i think it's also strange that synchronizing the organizer works fine as many times as i like, but synching the contacts goes worng. It also pauses at contact 85 of 95 for a long time, coudl it be that the downloading of a specific contact generates some sort of error?

and i notice now that MPE only downloads the first 85 contacts, the last 10 are not downloaded by MPE. There doesn't seem to be anything strange about contact 85 through 95, so i can't think of any reason why it stops there...

new update:

I made a backup of my contacts on my pc and then deleted all my contacts in my phone

then i created a testcontact and everything worked fine in MPE, so i put back my backup and tried again et voila: everything ok. only thing is: i miraculously lost one of my contacts in the range 86 - 95, but i'm not sure if nr 95 even existed, i'm not missing anyone...

At least thanks for your help, i hope the ghost contact won't infiltrate my phone again

I did the same thing and my sync works 100 % too.
Something fishy goes on!!
