Back to my trial with the log file. I did another test with the same contact and also a contact where the picture transfer worked and one thing that I see that is different is that the contact picture is named .jpg in the first case, and .jpeg in the second.
Could that be the issue?
I see a timeout when waiting to get the second picture.
Here's the clipping from my log file:
I'll try a few things to see if I can make it force a contact picture with the .jpeg extension to see if I can replicate.
