Back to my trial with the log file. I did another test with the same contact and also a contact where the picture transfer worked and one thing that I see that is different is that the contact picture is named .jpg in the first case, and .jpeg in the second.
Could that be the issue?
I see a timeout when waiting to get the second picture.

I'll try a few things to see if I can make it force a contact picture with the .jpeg extension to see if I can replicate.

Hi Indy500,
I'm using Samsung S4 android 4.3: original Contacts manager, Business Calendar app and MPE notes
All of these apps are synchronized to MPE in the laptop via WiFi or cable.
"Did you try the earlier method of updating a phone number in the contact so that it forces it to sync?" - I do not know what it is...
MPE NEVER synchronized my images of the contacts, even one. Previous MPE versions with Samsung S4, S3, or HTC - never.

I have a similar problem:
No photos are ever transferred from Outlook to the phone
1. When I open a contact in the Desktop version of MyPhoneExplorer, the photo from Outlook is not shown
2. If I then Edit the contact in MyPhoneExplorer and click "load contact picture from Outlook", the picture is transferred to MyPhoneExplorer correctly
3. After a sync, the photo still does not show up in the phone, and is no longer visible in the Desktop version of MyPhoneExplorer???
Running Outlook 2010 on the PC and Android 4.2.2 (Cyanogenmod 10.1) on the phone
Contact photo is not syncing

I have the same problem as Nilist.
Using Outlook 2013, Android 4.3

Hi,
I installed the beta update, to see the log file... and guess what
... Contact Pictures are syncing from outlook to the phone, and pictures show up in MPE too, now, and remains set in MPE.

I have an other little bug. After upgraded to KitKat 4.4.2, My Phone Explorer Client syncs, but even after the sync is finished the icon is still the same animated one, and cannot sync again (sometimes) until I exit the client and start it again.

Hi,
well, I cannot reproduce it anymore. I don't know how, but now the icon gets gray after each sync. so it's OK.
