I've just downloaded the v.1.6.6 from this web page, but I 'm not sure if it's the beta version. If not can u tell me where I can find it, please?

I didn't give you THIS update. The link is just the same but the file had changed. How many messages you have in archive - are you sure its 23.000 and not 32.000 ?

n right now i have 23690 msgs in archive

OK - makes it diffrence how much messages you want to copy ?

the problem is not with the number of msgs FJ

it may be 1 or 30 msgs it is crashing

i dont understand y is this happening

if i use 1.6.4 version its working well
it never crashed till now

but the new one 1.6.6 is crashing

n i have even tried in 2000 n Xp os

its crashing in both the os

Open the file %appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\K300 series [359162000023478]\settings.dat with notepad. You should find there a line which begins with Delete this line and save the file. Then you try it again and post the logfile (in both cases - if its working or not)

Please can you give me some data of your PC ? In the beta i made massive performance-increasing for the SMS-Archive but on your PC its alot of slower than on mine one.
Which CPU ?
How much RAM ?

You did a great job

now my MPE is not at all crashing n it very faster than earlier

its just taking seconds to copy SMS to the archive

and the loading time is also faster than before

my PC its 5years old one

Pentium 4 1.8GHZ
256 RAM

By comparsion to my PC its still slow but i think for a P4 processor its normal.
