wäre trotzdem prakrisch wenn es mit enter gehen würde oder zumindest so einstalbar währe man könnte ja den text sofort übernehmen und im nachhinein eine fehlermeldung ausgeben wenn die übertragung fehlgeschlagen ist

Also mit der Version 10.8. 21:18 gehts nicht. Aber das ganze ist um einiges schneller geworden kommt mir vor. Könnte aber auch daran liegen das mein Hirn noch nicht so schnell arbeitet heute.

Doch, es geht, aber man muss im SMS Fenster auf "Minimieren" klicken, nicht wie früher im Hauptfenster auf "In den Tray minimieren". SMS Fenster landet dann auf der Taskleiste, Hauptprogramm im Tray, und wenn SMS Versand fertig verschwindet das SMS Fenster. Ist also nicht genau die gleiche Funktion aber auch gut.

Ich nochmal,

also vom fehlenden Timestamp beim CSV-Export scheint der Posteingang betroffen zu sein, bei den restlichen Formaten gehts. Bei gesendete Nachrichten, gibts überhaupts keinen Timestamp, sowohl im Programm als auch bei den Exports.

Der Timestamp wird bei eingegangenen SMS korrekt mitexportiert. habs grade getestet. Bei den gesendeten SMS gibt es keinen Zeitstempel - siehe FAQ.

ist es geplant das wenn man photos synct das auch videos gesynct werden? ich fände das wäre ein tolles feature. (aber glaube du meintest vor nem jahr mal das des nicht so die tolle idee ist )

kleine frage, bei mir wird unter provider nichts angezeigt (eigentlich ja egal, ich weiß es ja ) aber kann es sein das du für congstar nur nicht so was wie eine zuordnungsid hast? könnte ich die nachschaun?

die 1.7 Beta hängt nach dem Ruhezusatand (oder Stand By) auf meinem Laptop (XP). War bei der 1.6er nicht der Fall. Reagiert nicht und läßt sich durch den Taskmonitor nicht abschießen. (Handy K770i).

Wenn sich MyPhoneExplorer nicht per taskmanager schliessen lässt dann liegt es nicht am Programm sondern an einem Treiber der das Schließen verhindert. Hat zu 99% nix mit der neuen Version zu tun.

Excuse me for writing in English in this thread, but I fear that you would get a heartattack laughing if I would try it in German. And that would mean that the development of your eminent software would cease, which I just won´t risk!

Anyway.
I haven´t installed the 1.7 beta yet, due to not having the time to evaluate it properly and thus participate in the search for eventual bugs. I hope to be able to contribute when my work load eases up a bit.

What I wanted to inquire about is the chat functionality, and please bear with me if some or all of my rantings aren´t pertinent, since I´m currently running 1.67 nightly 4709-04-02 18:49:20...

The chat (which is a great feature BTW!) can apparently only be started when in Contacts mode (at least in 1.67). You mark a contact and the chat icon is activated so that a session can be started.

Now, I would think that this feature would benefit from the following:
To be able to start a chat session exactly like when opening a new SMS, ie you click on the icon (in inbox mode) and get to choose a person with which you´d like to chat.

That the chat session can be saved in its entirety (sortable after contact, date etc).

Contacts can have different mobile numbers, which is why it would be good (for both chat and normal SMS) to be able to choose what number to use in the recipient box without having to go through the Add number from phonebook routine. Perhaps a tree-structure, so when you write JOHAN all your Johans drop down and when you click on a specific Johan, all his numbers are displayed to the right?

One of the issues that is brought up in the forums more often than I thought possible (doesn´t anyone read FAQs?) is the problem with timestamps when saving to archive. But this chat-GUI can solve that in a really nice way for those who wants to save their nasty messages to future generations. I´m thinking in the lines of Total Commander, where you display two windows side by side. Inbox in one, and Sent in the other. Combine that with checkboxes where a click generates a number and saving will be done in the order you want, chat-style. If you add a calendar and clock icon beside the message missing its own timestamp, the user can simply click on it to change it to whatever he wants. (I´m sure that you would be able to figure out a more user friendly version than I´m describing here, but I just wanted to give you an idea of how a functionality could be implemented.)

Oh, and while I´m at it, there seem to be a small inconsistency in the SMS-window. If you write a message, the bottom right button is defined as the send button. You click on it, and for some reason or other the SMS can´t be sent (phone out of range or whatever). Now, the button is suddenly changed to Close, and you´re supposed to click on the top left button instead. If you´re a little bit too quick and press the Close button, you won´t even get a chance of saving the message to drafts. It just disappears. My humble suggestion would be to let the bottom right button stay as a send button all the time, and add a pop-up question for saving to draft (auto-save functionality in pipeline?) before closing the window however you do it.

The Chatbutton is shown in Contacts, SMS, and calls. In Contactsview you can also select to which number of the contact you want to start the Chat. I think this is enought.

I'm also not a friend of saving chats completly. There are already the messages which are saved in MyPhoneExplorer AND the phone. If you ant to save the chat then you can use rightclick->Copy in the chatwindow.

The missing timestamps are a problem - but only for messages which were send with the phone and not with MPE. The messages which get created throught the Chatwindow have also a timestamp in the Sent-Folder.

I have changed the SMS-Window a littlebit in v1.7. The window disappears, and if the delivery fails then the window pops up again and you have the chance to save the message.

Ich habe bisher die "DebugUpdate"-Version von vor einigen Wochen verwendet, weitestgehend ohne Probleme. Da mir auffiel, dass ein im Handy angelegter Termin nicht in meinen Lightning-Kalender übernommen wurde, habe ich die neueste Version der 1.7-Beta drüber installiert, in der Hoffnung, dass ein eventueller Bug inzwischen behoben ist. Nun geschieht folgendes:

Wenn ich (mit verbundenem G900, Thunderbird läuft nicht) versuche, die Kontakte zu synchonisieren, wird parallel zur Statusmeldung "Kontakte werden mit Thunderbird abgeglichen..." Thunderbird automatisch gestartet (geschah vor der Neuinstallation nicht), dann erscheint nach einigen Sekunden im MyPhoneExplorer die Meldung: "Einträge konnten nicht aus Thunderbird gelesen werden!". (Beim ersten Mal erschien vor dem automatischen Thunderbird-Start der Hinweis, dass das MPE-AddOn nicht mehr aktuell sei, zusammen mit der Frage, ob es aktualisiert werden solle, die ich bejaht habe.)

Wenn ich das gleiche mit bereits laufendem Thunderbird versuche, wird die Synchronisierung abgeschlossen, ohne dass ein neu erstellter Test-Termin aus dem Thunderbird-Adressbuch in den MPE übernommen würde.

Danke für die Info, in Version 0.9.52 des Addons scheint tatsächlich ein bug zu sein. ich habe vorerst wieder die ältere Version 0.9.36 ins beta-Setup integriert, damits wieder funktioniert. Ich bin sicher NP wird sich bald darum kümmern.

Das ist kein Bug. Dass die Kontaktsynchronisation bisher ohne vorher laufenden Thunderbird funktioniert hat, war eher ein glücklicher Zufall - bei der Lightning-Synchronisation hat das eh nie geklappt...

Durch dein Einbau zusätzlicher Routinen hat sich vermutlich etwas am Timing geändert. Ich werde mal schauen, ob ich da ohne großen Aufwand was machen kann...
