There is one problem you have not addressed above.
With Excel XP (and I think 97 to 2003, if you double click, or if you use Fille=>Open and select CSV, it makes no difference. If the file is called *.csv then no wizard will appear. So, with either method, if the delimiter is wrong (for the locale) there is nothing the user can do to succeed.
I know this isn't a problem for Open Office (wizard always available) or for Excel 2007 (seems to auto detect), but it is still a problem for other versions.
Two workarounds are to rename the file (e.g. *.txt) so that the wizard will appear, or to convert the file some other way first.
It's not a big problem, but it might be best if MPE could use the locale specific List Separator if possible (as per Regional and Language settings). Then there would be no problem for anyone.
Another solution might be to choose the delimiter according to the MPE Language selection, e.g. UK, US use ",", Germany, Netherlands use ";" etc...
Right, I'm off on holiday now. I just have to say though, I'm not trying to be picky, just trying to help. MPE is a fantastic piece of software, so well done and thank you very much!
