few ideas

Ive seen the first of these suggestions somewhere I think, but thought I'd repeat it. I think the following would be great tho:

- ability to ping a phone (check if its available)
- change the from number when sending a text
- code ur own pdu code when sending texts
- check and log message/call counters to monitor usage. perhaps have export for importing to excel (csv file, etc)

sound useful/possible/likely?!

Cheers.

- change the from number when sending a text
Technically not possible
- code ur own pdu code when sending texts
Whats the sense of this ? MyPhoneExplorer is here to send textmessages for you - its not MyPhoneExplorers job to be a developer-tool to test PDU-Texts. Use "PDU-Spy" for this
- check and log message/call counters to monitor usage. perhaps have export for importing to excel (csv file, etc)
Its not possible to read out those values from the phone

What a pity :( Still, as I said, a great piece of software all the same. Thank's for the info. :D

FJ hat geschrieben:@Rajiv: I understand your point, but i will not follow your suggestions. MyPhoneExplorer is a easy-to-use app and the features you suggested make MyPhoneExplorer hard to understand for somebody who do not often works with a PC
The feature is very similar to SMS Auto Archive and if a user is able to understand SMS Auto Archive he/she will be able to understand Phonebook & Organiser Auto Archive.

However if you still want to keep it simple. You can disable the Auto Archive feature by default so that any experienced user is able to use it by enabling it.

This can make both novice and experienced user Happy.

Copy and Paste Into Phone Keyboard

Hi,

I generally use Phone Keyboard feature under extras to make calls (as most of my calls happen over a conference bridge line and the same will have a new phone number and I need to key it in along with a conference code).

If you can allow to copy and paste a number sequence into the phone keyboard it will help me.

Thanks.
Kishor

Hmm - did you try it with the normal Dial-Window ? Do you have problems using this cause the conference-code ? How do you type in a call ?

Hi!
i have a problem when a quantity of my photos are turn over 99.999 number. after that, when i look at memory stick folders of my k750i i see 2 folders (automatically created) in DCIM folder:100MSDCF (numbers ends on 99.999 photo) and 101MSDCF. (numbers begin from 00.000 photo). Problem is: MPE do not photosync from this time. I think. the Program searches for folder 100MSDCF and tries to sync it and when there's no new photos in it (all new are in 101MSDCF) it do nothing and then stops.
When i rename 101MSDCf to 100MSDCF (and 100MSDCF to, for example, 102MSDCF ) everything works fine :P but till only next phone connect (i use usb) :(
 Can you add syncronisation for all folders with MSDCF in the file name? I sure it will solve the problem

Anyway, thank you for The Program, i use it exclusively for managing my phone with computer :!:

MPE is perfect if it can support chinese characters.

SMS content recognition

Hello. I think it could be great to have a system that recognizes phone numbers in the SMS text and shows the associated names in the phonebook when you put the mouse over the number. This could be useful to recognize the number in the SMSs sent from the operator saying that a message have been sent or a user is available.
Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Another good improvement, I think, that it could be that the application can have a "key script" manager, that allows to create key press combinations in a script way, that allows to create advanced and personalized features.
Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Lotus notes mail file and calendar sync

Hi, the sw is great. Two ideas though,

1) I couldn't get MPE to sync with Lotus Notes calendar until I finally found that I needed to rename my mail template to something with 'mail' in the name. I did it and it works. It could be nice if you had the option to select the mail file your self.

2) Whenever I sync my calendar entries it takes a very long time, apparently MPE reads all old entries before it starts synchronizing the last week and on, which I've set it to do. It could be nice and faster if it would limit it search within the timeframe I've chosen.

Thanks again for the very useful sw.

Hello guys!

I REALLY want to thank you for this program, a great piece of software.

I would like to give an idea for the sent-sms problem (pain in the xxx :))

In the archived sms section where we keep the backed up sms, we could use this function:

After we backup the messages from the phone, we will have the received messages in one "section" (the blue) and the sent messages (the green). I think a great way to separate them, since we cant take the time info, is to drag & drop each sent message between the received messages. In that way, we could simply avoid writing the time info manually (very boring), and having the messages organised.

What do you think?

No, your solution is not "easy-to-use". Besides this it would be hard to realize if you have thousands messages in the archive.
