SIM Index Editing

Hi FJ,

Before I begin, you must know you have written a supreme piece of software!

Currently, I cannot see any way of editing the SIM Contact index number.

For example: the first entry can be dialed on the phone by entering 1#<call>; the 103rd entry by dialling 103#<call>.

Sony Ericsson saw fit to not include this capability in the phone, but I have seen this capability on other phones and phone management software before.

If you can implement this, I promise I will donate AU$25* and tell all my Sony Ericsson using friends to donate as well!

Thanks

* At current value of Australian Dollar... about €0.25 J/K :P

Ah yes I get that, what I was asking about was something similar to when you send an email with a "read reciept" on, so when someone opens the email (or text in my case), I get a message saying the text has been read.

Thanks
Claire

Can we get a 2ndary sort column. So when we sort by Name, it auto sorts by date as 2nd sort. This is regarding the SMS messages ofcourse :)

Is there any way that computer can be used for voicemail using this software. As this will be much useful than the orthodox voicemail service.

Voicemail is a service from your phoneprovider, not from your phone. I think that it's technically impossible to ad this future.

I cant say its impossible because such homephones(e.g. panasonic) which has inbuilt recorder(and obviously recorded voice saying to record your message after beep or some customised message),you dont have to subscribe from the provider.
As i think it can work like after certain number of bells on phone, the software picks the call and ask to record the message and then it writes a wav or mp3 file(or any audio format) for the recording.

The problem is that after a while your provider's voicemail will overrule and the connection will be broken. That's the problem. When making a function like this, you also must have an audio connection to your pc.

Technically I think it's possible (but that you have to ask FJ) http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.ph ... highlight= but it's to buggy and many users won't understand how to use so the forum will be overloaded with support questions about this.

Mac?

There is no MacVersion. You can try with wine, so we got it to work with GNU/Linux. I don't know if it will work on a MAC. But if you can manage this you could probably write a howto for Mac-User (Like i did for Linux: http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2838)

Can somebody make a tutorial for My Phone Explorer.
The best would be if it was a video.

I think MyPhoneExplorer is easy-to-use enought so that there is no tutorial needed.

FJ,

Cant use any other software with my S-E. Everything else is lame...

[ End butt kiss :-) ]

Seriously,

I would relly like to be able to sync the oulook contact photos to my phone. If I edit it on the phone it gets overwritten when I sync (I only sync Outlook to Phone because otherwise the area codes are "unseperated")

Really cool sw.

It's technically not possible at the moment to get this to work correct. It is implemented but it is instable.

Implemented in the latest releases?

It's not active. If you want to try it, you have activate it by editing the General.ini-File.

Usually you'll find it by:

Code: Alles auswählen

Start>Run>%appdata%>MyPhoneExplorer>General.ini
At the bottom of this file you'll find

Code: Alles auswählen

ForceContactImage=
Add your phone model afterwards (e.g. K800) and restart MPE.

Cool! But it doesn't bring photos from Outlook contacts, does it?

Hmmm.

But when syncing with Outlook, pictures are removed from contacts on phone...

To be honest... I don't know if FJ implemented the picture-snyc with outlook because the sync between phone and MPE is instable (as i wrote).
Sorry.

Well, it appers to work fine as long as the contact isn't updated from Outlook.
If only the image is updated in MPE it works great (So far...)
