FJ, as you requested, I sent you example messages from my Satio, that have the first letter omitted, to your email.

As a matter of fact, it seems that all messages with this problem contain 2 SMS!

And another thing - when trying to sync phonebook with gmail contacts, i get this error:

Then the application crashes completely.

This is a system-error which comes from the sidebar on he left side. basicly it has nothing to do with any sync-actions. Are you sure that it happns only on phonebooksync and if yes - only if you sync with Google ?

No, it happens even if I sync with MPE only. When syncing calendar and notes, app just crashes...no error message

thus, only SMS sync seems to work correctly...

I have the same problems. Syncing contacts, notes, calendar and files MPE crashes. In the WIN eventlog I get the following message:

Fehlgeschlagene Anwendung myphoneexplorer.exe, Version 1.7.0.4, fehlgeschlagenes Modul kernel32.dll, Version 5.1.2600.5781, Fehleradresse 0x00012afb.

The debug.txt looks OK. Seems, that this kind of bug is not logged.

On the otherway, SMS sync runs without any problem

Please try if the crash-problem is also fixed now

Confirmed - SMS problem fixed.

Phonebook and Calendar Sync problem:
- vba error fixed,
- I get another error instead:

OBEX Errorcode: 00 - Phone didn't Answer (now I sync only with MPE)

Haven't used PC Suite for couple of months... for all the previous SE phones I had MPE did all the work I needed much better than PC Suite..

However, Call lists and SMS sync works fine:

What I do:
1) Call list sync ok
2) SMS sync ok
3) Calendar sync FAIL
4) Phonebook sync FAIL
5) Call list sync ok

Please try it with the PC-Suite. Maybe we will find a way to fix the issue by comparing PC-Suite and MPE.

Wow...I may have a problem - PC Suite doesn't offer any data for sync - I can only select bookmarks sync. Calendar, tasks, notes are greyed, so I guess there is another problem...

hehe - its not needed to sync with Outlook or other apps. Go to Editors->Contacts

Yes, it does...sorry for the trouble, I will try to fix the problem with the phone...

It was the latest version of the PC-Suite ?
Try a software-update for the phone.
And if possible try it before on another PC - just to be sure thats really a problem of the phone.
