@F14 TOMCAT: Just for my interst: How often you save screenshots and for which usage ? The Dates are shown in the system-format. You can change the system-dateformat if you want.
@Jim34xx: you can do this already with using the filter

My Friend FJ,I use it about monthly and for lets say a kind of Picturial Backup of some features,So tell me please how to make JPEG the default if it is possible at all.
And know that I want these things Because I use MPE and I like it And so I want it be perfect and The Best in any possible way even in these features that may seem not very usefull.

Thanks Very Much

Currently there is no way to standarize the format - but for you i will make that MPE remembers the last format in the next version ;-)

P1 Sending SMS Timing Can't Sync To MPE

Hope in the future MPE can sync the sending sms timing from P1.
SMS Inbox now has showned incoming sms timing, but SMS Sent hasn't showned outgoing sms timing if send thru P1. When Sync only show "No Indication"

@RD: Read the FAQ. It will also not be possible in future because it's technically not possible. That's an issue only Sony Ericsson could fix.

Sometimes when synchronizing my w580i, there are more organizer items than the phone can handle. Would it be possible to show a dialog box when this happens saying how many items were NOT copied to the phone or something to notify the user that not all items were copied?

I know I can find them on the list view of the organizer but that requires multiple clicks. I use my Outlook calendar for lots of things. I can manage to stay below the limit using parameters for synchronizing.

This is a wonderful program! I will be donating after I post this. Good job!

Sending contacts is very much desired function.
It won't break the simplicity ;)

The second thing is the time of SMSes being read from phone (not the sent time but the time of transfer to MPE). It could be additional column. It really does not make sense to manually fill in all sent messages time (thousands of messages per week = hours spent on filling the missing time). The additional column would safe the messages from getting mixed with much older ones (all messages without time filled in manually get into same bag, this means hundreds of thousands messages after few years). Alternative idea of creating folder for each session is ridiculous. The column visibility could be set in settings so all users without this need wouldn't even see the difference in interface.

The ability to filter messages is very handful.

It would be nice to see the ability to disable automatic folder creation in archive. Who has the time to sort messages manually by creating folders while you can search them anytime you need using filters? What's the point? And it would make interface more simple.

Moreover when I empty the box using MPE "move to archive" the messages get into "archive" folder. When I use phone to delete messages they get into "auto archived folder". That makes interface unreasonably more complex for users that just need to have messages archived and browse them by using search (does anyone browse archive manually???)

Last thing, not exactly a place to write about it but MPE misses some SMS notifications while running for days without restart. It just doesn't notice them sometimes. Does it do some regular periodic reconnect to see if the connection is alive? (using XP SP3, SE W910i, Bluesoleil 5.4.245)

Thank You for your software - it is great.

hey, it would be cool if the export of messages to external file kept whether the message was sent or received :-).

thx, carlucci

It does keep this information - which exportformat you choosed ?

The export is working properly for me and contains all data in all possible formats.

Yes. The export options are very limited, indeed.

Actually vieweing options are limiteed too. You just can't view all messages at once (received, sent, archived) in one view and filter them using filters by date and content. A pity.... it would make the software greatest.

As you should already know it's technically not possible to read the date/time of sent messages from the phone. So how should MPE "detect" if one message was sent before or after another one?

You missed the point.

The time/date can be entered manually. It can also be set while sending sms using PC. Most people don't smschat using phone directly but using pc with bluetooth. The messages without time/date set could be excluded from the export in that export mode.

replace words function

A simple replace word/shorten word function with user defined word list, that will shorten your sms length. Like replacing all "you" with "U" etc.

Another suggestion - a button in the "send sms" dialog that would prevent you from sending a sms that's 161 chars long (or 321 chars - etc) if u check it. It would prevent mistakes of sending unnecessary, mostly empty, messages.

1) There is already a shorten-function in it but it does not work with a wordlist like you suggested. Cause this feature would be diffrent on every language it does not make sense. The message can be shortened with CTRL+K - as described in the FAQ

2) you get already a baloontip directly besides the cursor when you reach the second message.

That's where the word list comes in. Everybody could configure their own words. The configuration windows would have two columns - the orginal word, and the shorten word: you|u, forever|4ever, etc.

FJ hat geschrieben:2) you get already a baloontip directly besides the cursor when you reach the second message.

Yes, I've seen the balloontip, but sometimes you are are in a hurry and does not see it/aren't looking at the screen.. and because of that you sending the extra unnecessary message.

I understand that you want to keep a clean interface and not clutter it with functions that's hardly used, but think about it and maybe you could integrate it somehow else...

Missing column "Title"

Hello,
at first I'd like to thank you for a great piece of software! The only think I'm missing at all is a column "Title" (e.g. MSc., Ph.D.) in the Contact list. It would be useful for complete export of contacts via Word/Excel/HTML/... in "Extras > Current list" option. It's the only one not included item.
Thank you,
Tibor

I know, but the title can be showed if you change the Name-Format in the settings
