character limit at calendar entries

I noticed there is a limit of text characters when syncing my HTC Desire Froyo 2.2 with outlook 2003 calendar items. my original calendar entries are automatically truncated after syncing to MPE.
Is there a way to keep the original size of my calendar items at outlook when syncing with MPE?
thx

The fields are limited to 2000 chars per field. Do you really need more characters on your phone ?

It looks like I need about 3000-5000 characters since I keep meeting notes in outlook.

Hi,
first of all, THANKS FOR THIS GREAT PIECE OF SOFTWARE!!!!
Now, in connection with this old thread, I use Outlook task a lot but some of them are, in my case, quite large.
I can succesfully add/edit/sync tasks of up to about 15000 characters between it and my old Windows Mobile phone via Active Sync but they do get truncated under my Android phone via MPE.
Could you please let MPE larger tasks texts?
TIA,
Rolando

Event and Task description will be increased to 30k, Subject will be untouched (10k) in the next release

Hi FJ,
there still seems to be a truncation on what gets downloaded to the phone.
Could you please check these strings length limit?
BR,
Rolando

Just checked, 30K for Description and 10K for Subject. Which limit did you notice ?

Descriptions are still truncated on my side: I originally got a task that had to split into two when upgrading from ActiveSync/WindowsPhone to MPE/Android.
To test it, I reassembled that task into Outlook, synced it with MPE and opened it on the Android app. On it, I edited nothing but as it was truncated the Android app asked to me to save the changes. So, I saved, re-synced against Outlook, copy/pasted the whole (truncated) description from Outlook into Word and then under its advanced document properties it now shows:
pages: 4
paragraphs: 154
lines: 181
words: 1682
characters: 7229
characters with spaces: 8761
However, before the, say, truncating procedure depicted above the original non-truncated description had:
pages: 5
paragraphs: 255
lines: 301
words: 2969
characters: 12926
characters with spaces: 15740
May be it is actually the action of displaying the task in the phone's Tasks app what messes it?
BR,
Rolando

Just tested on my Nexus with Android 4.1.2 with a Outlook Task over 25.000 Characters in the body: Everythink works as it should.
Based on your descriptions it seems to be a General issue with the edit text field in your phone. Which phone/Android model do you have ?

OK, Gingerbread is outdated, probably this is the cause of your Problem. Maybe a Firmware upgrade to Android ICS or newer is available for you.
