A very few calendar events not syncing with Outlook 2000

I'm syncing an Android phone (HTC DEsire HD running 2.2) with Outlook 2000 (on an XP Pro SP3 PC). Most things are syncing absolutely fine except for 3 calendar items. These are not very important as they are years in the future BUT come up every time I sync my phone and as I cannot see an obvious reason I am *assuming* there could be a bug.

The events come up for synchronisation even though they have not changed. The reason they come up is because the phone says the event lasts from '00:00 - 00:00' but in Outlook they are 'All Day Events'. In the Calendar for MPE (on my PC) they are down as duration 'Other - date - 00:00' and of 'Event' type. The 'All day event' box is NOT ticked.

What is also interesting is the situation on the phone. My main calendar is 'Gemini' calendar (... http://www.androidzoom.com/android_appl ... _fovi.html ...) and with this, if I check the dates that have problems, I find that they have no entries, at least for the problematic events. However, if I check the dates on the Android calendar then they ARE down as all day events. Gemini is supposed to use the same calendar database as the regular calendar.

I tried deleting those events in the MPE calendar (on my PC) and syncing again. The same situation comes up.
I tried deleting the events from the normal Android calendar but, again, same situation.

Using MPE 1.8.0 on my PC. Client version 1.0.7 beta14 on the phone.

I've checked that both calendars on the phone are using the same database (PC Sync). In fact I only have the one as I do not sync anything with or through Google.

The dates are for 2x Easter Day (31/3/2013 and 27/3/2016)* and Mother's Day (30/3/2014)*. In Outlook they are all down as 'All Day Events' as are all other instances of these days. Just that these 3 are wrong in MPE. I've also checked the 'outlook.txt' file that I downloaded for these holidays and there is no difference between these entries and any other.

Any ideas?

Please post the logfile after you did set one of this events in MPE as "whole day" and synced

OK. I set the 31/3/13 date as 'All day event' within MPE on my PC and did a sync. I have 'confirm changes first' set so the 3 same events came up.
Oh, I have 'sync all' calendar events set.

I installed the beta and did a calendar sync but still the same problem.

I did notice though that 'Extras > About' in MPE still says version 1.8.0, as does the 'file version' on MyPhoneExplorer.exe. But I'm assuming that this is an oversight as the file creation date is the 22nd January this year.

I'll try looking at producing a calendar (in Outlook) that has only these dates if I can. Or rather, only those recurring dates that these 3 are a part of.

Any more ideas on this issue? I've got another date that does exactly the same as my first post. I'm perplexed as to why I use MPE as my sync tool and yet the Outlook calendar on my PC and the Android calendar app on the phone are correct, but the MPE client on my PC and the calendar app I use on the phone (Gemini) are both wrong. Gemini is supposed to use the same database as the Android calendar and MPE is the sync tool that updates this.

If anyone could shed any light on this I would very much appreciate it!

OK, another try:

- run MyPhoneExplorer in Debugmode (Start-Run-myphoneexplorer debug-OK)
- sync calendar
- when the changes are shown in the confirmation-window click on the new visible button "Compare"
- send me a screenshot of the upcoming window

The problem with 27.03.2011 is known and currently not fixable (its the day when the time changes). What about the other two events ?

OK. I'll play with it as I would like to have the day the clocks change on my calendar - doubt if I need an 'all day event' though. So, is it an Outlook problem this?

You should have email. I misunderstood the 'compare' window and thought it compared all 4 events. You should have the other 3 now.

I love this problems - i am not able to reproduce them and for the users they disappear. But its OK
