PC App stops detecting Phone - need to disconnect/reconnect

Just as the subject says really, I can't remember how long this has been going on for, but not that long really, only a few weeks...

When I connect my phone and start the software on my PC, it's fine, but then if I leave it for a while and come back to it, try to do something - send a text or resynch the texts etc. it tells me the phone's not connected.

Using Version 1.8.2 on my PC, and 1.0.14 on my HTC Sensation.

Connected throught WiFi ? try the setting "Avoid standby" in the settings of the client. But remember: this will eat your battery

I have ICS on my Nexus S. MPE 1.82, outlook 07'. v1.015 beta 13.

I have the stand-by issue ony with contacts in both wifi and usb syncs. My phone setting is on "avoid stand by mode". All other syncs work. This has become an issue since I downloaded ICS. This prevents me from completing a sync.

USB to Samsung Galaxy S2 from Windows XP
Most current MPE on desktop (it's syncing so I can't look at rev)
Phone 1.0.15 Beta9
Only with Contacts (I have 8500+) - takes a LONG time
Then when I sync a second time after restarting it works.

I've not got any other connection available, just the USB Cable.

I've tried again today and still no joy.

Deleted the phone from the Client Software, reconnected and it reinstalled the app on my phone... But the error still occurs if it's left connected for a while.

Now when trying to send a text, it tries for about 30 seconds, then the following error message is displayed on the PC:

The SMS storage could not be set in phone!

It only allows me to send it after unplugging the USB Cable, then plugging it in again.

@Rich: Post the logfile after you see that the connection was lost

@Jdville: You really want to store and use 8500 contacts on the phone ? Unbelivable. There is no limit set in MyPhoneExplorer but i think this is simply too much. You will find no sync-software which allows a fast sync of this huge amount

Yes, using Norton Internet Security, tried disabling it, same thing happens...

Hmm, its a strange problem. MyPhoneExplorer is able to build up the connection but the client on the phone does not answer. Was the "MyPhoneExplorer Client" on the phone launched when you had this problem ?

Yes, the app was running on my phone.

It still seems like a firewall problem. You restarted your phone already ?

Yes, I had tried restarting my phone...

I've now updated my phone to ICS and the problem seems to have resolved itself...
