I have just installed the most recent versions on my PC and Samsung Galaxy S (31/12/2011) and the software works fine.
I am wondering if there is any way that the software can read the installed microSD card memory, or if it is a feature you are intending to put into the program.

Yes, its possible. For Samsung phones the SD-Card is shown in MemoryStick/external_sd
