How to update the client?

FJ,
(1) how do I find the version of the client beta that I have on my phone right now?
(2) where do I find the most recent client beta?
(3) how do I install it so not to overwrite my data?
(4) does it make sense to always "hunt" for the most recent beta?
Sorry, I'm a bit new to this. Thanks.

1) On my phone (Galaxy S2), I start the phone client, then "pull" the top status bar down. I shows me running apps & Notifications. Tapping the MPE Client opens a screen that shows WiFi, Bluetooth & USB connection status. At the bottom of that screen is the Version info.
2) On your phone Web connection, navigate to
www.fjsoft.at/mpeclient.apk This site will download the latest Beta client. You then need to go to "Downloads" and install it (make sure "Settings - Applications" is set to allow install of non-Market applications AND "USB debugging" is applied.
3) Installing new client doesn't over-write data.
4) only if you're having an issue that FJ has fixed in the Beta.
