I have the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch from Sprint.

It seems at least with the version on Sprint, Samsung does not provide a built in Note Pad app.

You have to get either one of the free ones in the Android Market, or a paid one.

But when you install My Phone Explorer, he provides you with two apps, a Note Pad app and a Task App.

And that is what MPE sync's to.

MPE with Thunderbird has finally tidied up my electronic life. Finally just one version of everything - except for notes. Now have added Evernote (free version) and the picture is complete.
At last I can bin my faithfull old Palm Pilot!
Why can't the phone manufacturers understand what users want - easy to use software free from bloat.
Long live MPE. Would still use if not free.

TMobile Galaxy S2 does not have notes app

I got my Galaxy S2 from TMobile 2/12/12 and it did not have a notes app. I am using the MPE notes app and it functions well. I migrated from an ATT iPhone 3G where I sync'd calendar, contacts, notes and tasks in Outlook with the iPhone. I needed a 3rd party tasks app to make that work. Using MPE with their notes and tasks on the phone works a little bit better and I'm completely pleased as I can keep my desktop computer, notebook computer and my GS2 all in sync which I couldn't do with the iPhone. I was limited to one computer and the iPhone. MPE and GS2 is the complete solution for me.
