question about calendar sync and not deleting past events.

Hi there.
I am currently syncing MPE to Outlook and Google Calendars.
I am trying to find a way so that past events are not deleted from either google calendar or outlook. How do i do this?
If i try to "sync events only in the future", the confirmation windows shows that it wants to delete all my past events.
Same for ----- days before and ---- after option.
however, if I sync all, then i have more than 6000 events on my phone, which I don't want either.
Can the sync delete things off my phone, but NOT in Outlook or Google calendar?

The time range in MyPhoneExplorer is here to keep the phones storage small. MyPhoneExplorer will not delete any data in Outlook cause of this setting, the entries are deleted in the phone. But in further way they will be removed also from Google cause the phone does sync itself with Google

Hi, I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by this sentence. Do you mean the events WILL be deleted from google?

it would be really great for example to say...sync all events from January 2012. But i don't want my google events in 2009/2010/2011 to be deleted.
Is there a way to do this?

In Settings > Sync > Calendar (Advanced) > Time Period - you have the ability to sync over almost any time period you like. As far as I know the entries outside of these times are left as they are. If you have the 'Show confirmation window before ... changes' ticked then you definitely won't lose anything.

Hi..I tried that. i did 60 days before and 60 days after.
It does try to delete everthing before 60 days though, so i had to manually (in the confirmation window) do "don't delete". This took a long time though
Thanks!

Mainly the appointments will be removed from phone, but if you sync your phone with Google i think they will disappear also on Google. You are right, its not a good idea to push 6000 events to the phone, but if you never delete old appointmebts then you will reach this amount also. If yu use a Samsung or HTC phone then you could use the phone internal calendar for the sync so Google will be not affected
