printing addresses etc

Hi
Does anyone have a method for using the adresses files in another program without having to export a file csv each time. I use thunderbird and open office mainly, having an aversion to microsoft, and try to find a way to have only one database for all apps - utopic I know! Question

how do you print envelopes in thunderbird or MSE? or incorporate the adresses in thunderbird or MPE into a program like open office (or office) dynamically, ie updates are in real time, not export/ import. Question

or how can you update a base in openoffice automatically /directly from & to a smartphone? Using a base in open office I can do all that I want -even mails and telephone calls , but I have to manually update the base or export / import each time & each step if I want to update my phone from the base. - the base is basically an adress book that prints and does simple office tasks - bills etc.

Besides Microsoft Office i think you will not find a ready to use package which does fit all your needs. Maybe it can be done with some scripts
