Contact Photos do not syncronize

Hi to all,

Thank you for developing MPE, I try all other sync software and I think it is the best since it syncronize all the contact and more stuff... and off curse, it is FREE!

However I've a problem with contac photos:

MPE 1.8.2
OS Win 7 (64bit)
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Tab
Android: gingerbread 2.3.3 (kernel 2.6.35.7)

I've Outlook 2007 with 330 contacts with photos and it does not sincronize contact photos at all. I try with ever strategy but it does not.

I try to delete manually contacts in MPE and resync, I try to sync with the phone, delete contact in MPE and then to resync with outlook.

All the other data of the contact (including categories) sync well.

If I select a photo for the contact directly inside MPE the photo syncronizes, but you see, I've 330 contacts! Readd photos manually is very boring.

I try using both WiFi and USB. Protocol is setted to IrMC-Sync since SyncML is disabled.

Please let me know. I read all other posts, I'll try tomorrow using an old version of the software.

I try also with the old 1.8.0 version of MPE but contact photos do not syncronize...

any idea?

Do you see the pictures which are in Outlook in MyPhoneExplorer ?

No, in MPE I don't see the picture I've in Outlook (they are not imported at all)

however, if I add a photo to a contact directly in MPE, and then sync with the phone the photo appears in the phone...

let me know.

Finally, another question, there is a way to sync the agenda categories?

I try in various ways...

I think the problem is on Outlook. My contacts have been restored by an Outlook .pst file and for some reason MPE does not see photos after the import on outlook.

Indeed I try to sync the same contacts syncing my phone through MS Exchange and the photo appears then when I sync in MPE the photo appears also in MPE.

I also try to export the contacts in vCard by Kies and re-import in Outlook. In this case the contacts photo appears in MPE...

Sorry, technically not possible

You should know that MyPhoneExplorer is not able to detect diffrences in contactpictures. This is probably the reason of your problem. If you make another change of the contact in Outlook then the photo should be transferred

Hello everybody,

I had also the same problem with the no sync on contacts photos.
I confirm what FJ says, that the way to overcome this photo sync issue is to make a change in any one of the contact's data, sync again and after that the photo of the contact is also synchronized in MPE and the phone.

Any way, this is a great software.

I do not agree. I have sync from outlook into a clean contact list in Android. Contact photoes where not copied. Also after changing name, picture, phone numbers etc... on few contacts the picture was not moved. I have on all contacts a picture in Outllok, but none was copied into Android and MPE also doesn't show them.

If you can reproduce the problem with a new Outlook contact then we can try to reproduce the problem - can you ?
