I'm using a Galaxy SIII. First of I should say that MPE is a marvellous tool. The Control Phone facility is awesome. I have been tearing my hair out with Kies and Samsung Tech Support have been awful.
Syncing Photos is the icing on the cake so isn't a show stopper for me. When I sync it stops at "Sync Photos":-
and throws an error "Could not find photo folders on the phone!":-
I have tried the device connects to the USB as a media device and there doesn't seem to be any way to change this even in setting if I uncheck it falls back to being checked. The photos are stored in /mnt/extSdCard/DCIM/Camera/
Any ideas how to resolve this? |

Should have mentioned I'm using USB for the connection, sorry.
I thought I might set up a temporary customized "Sync files" job until this is resolved and hit another issue.
When connected, the phone installs itself as a Portable Media Manager:-
Drilling down I'm presented with:-
The photos are in the camera folder.
However MPE shows a different view:-
The DCIM folder listed there contains nothing except a subfolder called .thumbnails.
As mentioned above the actual location of the photos is:-
/mnt/extSdCard/DCIM/Camera/
And there seems to be no way to access this path.
It would be great if someone could help me resolve this. Assuming I'm not being very stupid and missing something obvious and if this is an issue that needs to be resolved in MPE I'm happy to offer help with testing. |

You could access it in MyPhoneExplorer throught:
Phone Memory/mnt/extSdCard/DCIM/Camera/
Since the mountpoints are permanently changing i have made some new intelligence in MyPhoneExplorer Client. He is now able to detect any external storage card and it gets listed in MyPhoneExplorer also as root directory, so it will work then also with the phtot sync.
If you want to test and report feedback: http://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplorer_DebugUpdate.exe |

Thanks for such a speedy response. Yes it worked. First time around I got an error message:-
But that could have been something else happening and it did take a long time as there was nearly 1GB of photos at the start.
Since then it has worked perfectly. The file view has now changed:-
Fantastic. |

Out of the blue photo sync has failed. I get the following message:-
however I can expand "External Storage" and browse to \DCIMM\Camera\ in the MPE windows without any problem. |

Hello, I have the same photo sync problem as mentioend in this section by Charlie.
I have a Motorola Droid Razr, Adnroid. All other aspects of MyPhoneExplorer work fine.
I am confused about one issue.
I don't care so much about syncing the pictures i take with the camera as i care about the images in Contacts. The contacts sync just fine but non of the images in Outlook make it to the phone.
So, first question, is the setting in your software same for both: photos and contact images?
I have set the Photo Sync enabled in Multi-Sync and I have My Pictures folder (on my PC) selected as location for photos in Advanced 2 setting.
THe error message, can't find photos location on you phone.
Please help.

There is an added issue I have identified which I suspect is related.
When I go to set up a custom "Sync files" job (File/Settings/Multi-sync) and click on the browse button for "Source folder":-
MPE crashes:-

Yes, thats seems to be directly relevant. My guess is that MPE does not know how to access any type of images on this version of Android. I mean Motorola Droid Razr or equivalent.

This beta did not seem to address the contact image sync issue. Just FYI, not sure if it was inteneded for that issue.

Grrr it's started again:-
SetPath failed: \external\DCIM\Camera|
OBEX Errorcode: C4 - Not Found
However if I exit MPE on the PC and start it again it starts working again. |

I notice too that there is an error that shows on screen on the phone when the OBEX error occurs:-
"Cannot find device: FAIL0010device not found"
It would be great if this problem could be resolved. |

| Zitat: | "Cannot find device: FAIL0010device not found"
| This issue has not directly to do with MyPhoneExplorer, its a error from ADB. Try to use another USB-Port
| Zitat: | SetPath failed: \external\DCIM\Camera|
OBEX Errorcode: C4 - Not Found
|
Please post the logfile when it happens again |
