No Contacts on Phone... Yes there are Contacts on the phone

I am having a difficult time migrating to Android. Makes me wish for the W580i days when MPE just worked.

If I get connected, via WiFi (which is about once every 20 attempts of rebooting phone, computer, router), when I try to sync the phonebook it tells me there are no contacts on the phone. There are contacts on the phone. When I try to download entire, it simply deletes phonebook.dat and displays no news at all. My phone is syncing with gmail nicely. What can I do to make my phonebook sync with MPE?

Thanks,
Tom

Edit: I am using MPE 1.8.3 and the latest Android client.

Hi, i'm having exactly the same contacts issue since I installed the 1.8.3 mpe version. All other features are working perfectly.
is there anyway to solve this contact bug or should i downgrade MPE to the former version ? in this case where can I find this version ?
Thks in advance.

Which contact accounts are shown in the settings of MyPhoneExplorer Client on the phone ?

Thanks FJ, that fixed it for me! Apologies for not digging deeper to find that simple solution!

Hi,
outlook 2010 is the account selected in settings\synchro.
I'm running ICS 4.0.3 on SG2.
Thks for your concern.

4.0.3 on SGS2 ? Are you using a custom rom ? If yes, there exists a bug in the custom Roms with Android 4: You cannot create Null-Account-Contacts so you have to use the Google-Contactaccount for syncing.
