First things first: great app, great job!
Really, thanks for what you did for free that nobody else could do properly even paid for!

Minor detail i noticed is if you change the photo from a contact it won´t update in Phone.

Or am i missing something?

Delete your existing contact picture in the phone and make a change in the Outlook contact so it gets detected as different.

Can that detection be implemented in future release?
I mean, for one or two contacts its ok to do that, the problem is changing photos for many contacts its a bit difficult to keep track which ones changed at some point.

No, a automatic detection is not possible. But i will implement a button to do it manually which will make it easier

I am having a bit different issue. MPE is not copying the contact pictures to Android at all. I have for every contact in Outlook(2007) a photo. But I do not see it in Android. I have Motorola Defy+ with original fw and also for newest (4.1), it didn't work.
Since starting using MPE it never copied the photoes to the contact/phone. in the phone. I am missing something?

I tested to delete the photo in mobile and MPE don't copy the new photo in some cases.

The one way that ever works is to delete the contact in phone.

I downloaded the beta version in link.
I used the new button and it didn't work frequently.
MPE says "Kontaktbild wurde nicht gefunden" with some contacts that have photo in Outlook.

@Seten and xavih: Run MyPhoneExplorer in Debugmode: Start-Run-myphoneexplorer debug-OK. Then reproduce the message "Contactpicture not found" or "Kontaktbild nicht gefunden" with the new button. After this please post the logfile

I think the problem is the size of photo (in pixels not in Kb)

After I wrote the post, I did a lot of tests.
When I found a contact with problem, I saved the photo from Outlook to a JPG file.
Then, in MPE I used the option to load photo and EVER the size (in pixels) was different (not squared like form screen in MPE)
I used the option zoom to adjust photo and I saved in MPE contact.

At this moment, I can transfer the photo from MPE to Outlook with new button and then reload from Outlook to MPE.

The problem is how the photo is saved in Outlook. Normally they are saved as attachment with a filename like "ContactPicture.jpg". Ón your contact the filename is just "Photo" -> even without fileextension. I adapted the beta, please test: http://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplo ... Update.exe

I tested new beta. I think now it works.

More wishes: Will MPE detect added/changed photos in future releases?

This was discussed in the forum very often. Its not possible

Another option to detect added/changes photos

Add a screen will show photos in Outlook and MPE for every contact.
And 3 options: "use outlook photo", "use phone photo" and "no changes"
Then user can decide what photo will be used in future

This is a great idea. I also have lot of contacts and only way to update them
is deleting all phone contacts and sync it back. In the operation, I lost all my favorites I need to re-add afterwards.

This is a great option, for sample, via checkbox.
any idea when this could be added ?
