Tasks - due date 1 day earlier than client or Outlook

Samsung S2X with ICS syncing to Windows 7/Outlook 2010. has been working without a problem and very happy with MPE
However, am experiencing a weird new problem in the last couple of days - if I enter a task with a due date date and a reminder in Outlook and sync to the S2X, all looks ok in Outlook and on the desktop client MPE Task List. On the phone, however, the Due date is 1 day earlier than entered. If I try to change the Due date on the phone, the date I enter shows as 1 day earlier than entered. I can change the reminder date on the phone without any problem.
If I enter a task on the phone, the Due date shows properly so there appears to be something weird with the Outlook sync - am I missing something basic or does anyone have any ideas?
thanks a lot

Which version of the client you are using ? Is the Start-date also affected by this problem ?

Hi, I'm syncing calendar and tasks but tasks start and due dates are set 1 day ahead on my android client (1.0.26). The tasks have a correct reminder date on mpe tasks (android phone) and are also OK on the desktop client (mpe 1.85) (in the desktop client all dates are correct), I'm syncing from Outlook 2010 32 bit on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
Any suggestions?
ps: I'm using android 4.3 (cm10.2) on a Samsung GS3, it happens both via usb cable and wifi, everything else works perfect. I also have sync both ways but if I try changing the start date on mpe tasks (phone), after I press OK, when I reopen the task to check, the date hasn't changed (it's still one day ahead). Thanks.

I've searched the English forum and Google but no clue...
My apologies for asking again in such a short time but I really don't know if it was at least read.

Please try this:
- Start-Run-%appdata%\MyPhoneExplorer\General.ini-OK
- add a new line below [Main]: UseOutlookObjectModel=1
- save the file
- Sync and test

I tried it, didn't work, this is an example of what I've got:
Outlook: Start time: 1/11/2013 Due Date: 1/11/2013 Reminder Time: 1/11/2013 9:00pm
MPE Desktop Client: Time: 1/11/2013 Due Date: 1/11/2013 Reminder Time: 1/11/2013 9:00pm
MPE Tasks (Phone): Fri Nov 1, 2013
(Edit task from MPE Task (to open details)): Start 31/10/2013 Due: 31/10/2013 Reminder: 01/11/2013 9:00 PM
It's like that for all the tasks, those are tasks that repeat each month on the same date (01/MM/YYYY)
Then, my calendar widget shows the "start" (or due) date from the task details, ie. 31/10/2013
I can't change the details from MPE Tasks (Phone) because they don't stick

OK, which timezone is selected in the phone ? I'll try to reproduce the issue

I have it on Automatic time zone (& automatic date & time), so the other are greyed out, but show my correct time zone (GMT -05:00, Eastern Standard Time), my laptop is set to UTC-05:00 Bogota, Lima, Quito (I live in Panama wich is GMT-5 and we don't have daylight saving time, so we are GMT-5 through out the year)
Should I try manual time zone on the Phone?
EDIT: Changed my phone timezone manually to (GMT-5, Bogotá, now it's GMT-5 Colombia Standard Time) and it's still the same.
So far the only difference is that syncing is a bit slower (I still have unticked Compare only changed events (faster) and select to Sync All Events (regardless of age))
I think it has to do with the phone client because that's where the dates change and the fact that I can't change tasks specific dates with the phone client.
All the specs are the ones specified on messages above.

I tried creating a task in the phone and synced, dates were correct, then I changed it in Outlook and synced again and the dates changed in the phone and went 1 day ahead and I couldn't change the dates from mpe tasks anymore.
If I create a task on MPE tasks I can change dates without problem until I sync them, then they are stuck, 1 day ahead of what's in Outlook (and desktop MPE client)

I have just tried to reproduce the issue so i have set the Timezone to GMT-5 and i created a new Task on 01/11/2013 - no Problems with the date in the "MPE Tasks" app. Does it work if you set the timezone of your phone for a test to GMT+0 ?
When you noticed the issue - is it maybe a issue in Android 4.3 ?
It works...

It works when I set GMT+0 on the phone... I synced and changed and everything is fine, tasks created on the phone and on outlook.
I'm not completely sure when It started. (I have 4.3 from a few months) I didn't use the tasks until recently. Events always work.
Is there a solution for this?

Its hard to find a solution for something which cannot be reproduced on my own phone.
If you open the task on the phone to edit, then click on the wrong date (f.e. 31/10/2013). A date chooser will open - is there also the wrong date highlighted ?

Tasks that I previously created now have the correct date & I'm able to change them, now only the reminder is 5 hours ahead, so it's got to do with the timezone. I'll adjust my remind times so that the issue doesn't happen and let you know.
Thanks for all your support.

No, it didn't work for me, if I set the time zone in the phone to gmt-5, it still changes the start and due date backwards.
Regarding what you asked, the date shown when I open MPE tasks in the phone is correct, but when I select details, it's changed, so the display date is the date of the reminder, not the start date nor the due date.
I'll create a task with start date 1-11-2013, due date 20-11-2013 and reminder 10-11-2013 and see what happens.

OK, resuming,
This is what I've got:
1) If I set gmt+0 on the phone and sync, start & due dates are correct all the way through (on the opening screen of MPE and in details), but the reminder is 5 hours ahead, that's for tasks created in outlook
2) If I set gmt-5 on the phone, start & due dates are displayed correctly on the opening screen of mpe tasks, details show them 1 day before. Reminder time is the same as the laptop. For tasks created in outlook.
3) If I create a task in MPE in the phone, everything syncs fine and all dates are correct both in the phone and outlook.
4) If I change a task in outlook, it then behaves like 1) or 2) after sync.
When the phone is set to a timezone of gmt-5, I can't change the tasks dates from mpe tasks in the phone (detailed view).
I'll try to find a way to set the correct local time but with the timezone set to gmt+0 so that it's closer to normal.

I have the same problem. MPE is configured to export data from Outlook 2007 to Huawei U8110 Android v2.1 on my system. Local timezone is MSK (GMT+4). I faced with the problem since MPE was updated from v1.8.2 to v1.8.5. There is another user on a russian speaking forum who has the same problem too.

I've noticed this behavior is probably related to Android itself, I tried with other programs, like S-Planner (from Samsung) and Kies and dates get changed too. Sometimes editing tasks throw very strange dates.
I'm not sure if tasks are stored in Calendar storage or where, so that I can clear those caches and see if it fixes something.
Dates are correct on outlook & mpe desktop client, they are wrong in the phone. I don't know the inner calls of mpe to import/merge the tasks in the phone but if it relays on some Android calls, there might be the problem.
My gmt as mentioned before is gmt-5, I also have dates displayed dd/mm/yy, not as the common mm/dd/yy.
It's a big puzzle, so far the only thing that helped was setting timezone to gmt (+0)
Best regards,

Dates are incorrect both in MPE desktop client and in a phone as for me.

In the overview its shown correctly, only wrong in the details ?
You say the reminder is OK - also if you set the reminder to 1:00 am ?
