Android - Control Phone - Screen Refresh Speed/Quality

Hi. First of all, I love this product. I've been using various versions of it for years since I owned a SE K700i. This latest version rocks.
I just had one question.. is it possible to alter the refresh speed when controlling the phone? Perhaps by sacrificing quality? It takes approx 2 seconds to fully update the screen, wiping from left to right, making control quite cumbersome. Is this normal, and if so is there a workaround?
Phone details below;
Model: HTC One X

HTC Sense version: 4.1
HTC SDK API level: 4.23
Kernel version: 2.6.39.4-g090b42e

Which make/model are you using? And How quickly does your screen refresh in the "Control phone" window? Instantly?

My brick is a Sony Ericsson X10i.
About 2 seconds or less.
Ah, try this on your phone:
settings > display > animation > turn it off.

It sounds like you do have the same issue as me - about 2 seconds. This, IMHO, makes control a little sluggish as after each click you have to wait for the screen to update. Just wondered if there was a way to make it more instantaneous.

MyPhoneExplorer does resfresh as fast as possible. The speed is limited by the size of the screen. F.e. my old X10i with 480x854 Pixel Screen 16 bpp needed about 400ms for a refresh, my current device - Galaxy Nexus with 1280x720 Pixel 32bpp it needs about 1600ms.
Transmitted data on the X10i for every frame: 0,78 MB
and on the Nexus: 3,51 MB
You can launch MyPhoneExplorer in debugmode to see the exact speed. Start-Run-myphoneexplorer debug-OK
I tried some experimental stuff with compression directly on the phone, i reduced the time from 1600ms to 400ms. But it would work only on rooted devices so probably i will not implement this

Now that's a real shame, as my phone is rooted, and I believe this to be the biggest hindrance to an otherwise superb application. Could it not be made an option with a flag to say it will only work if rooted? Many Android enthusiasts who use your product have rooted their phones, it's just the kind of people we are

There would be many hours of development needed to make it work like i tested and on the end it will work for about 5%. No, thats not a good cost/sense factor
