Backup Not Restoring

Samsung S2 with 4.03 installed
Using MPE 1.8.4
Computer - Win7 64bit

I did a backup of my phone, I then used an App that would delete duplicate entries. It deleted everything.

When I go to use my Backup - it restores 875 contacts, but in my Backup it clearly shows 2075 contacts.

I only ask it to restore Contact Names NOT the notes or sms'.

Does anyone know why it will only restore partial contacts and not the full?

Also when I do this, a message comes on my phone at the top, which I pull the menu down, it says - XXX contacts have been deleted - delete, undo, do nothing.

Any and all help would be appreciated,
Kind regards,

Brit

I just want to add that I can see the names in the MBP file when using a text editor like Notepad or Word, but I don't know why they are not restoring back to the phone.

maybe the duplicate entry deletor did not completely delete the entries and they are still somehwere you cannot see? Try restoring the phone to original factory state and see?

It seems the phone has problems by creating so much contacts in one action.

Press the second button in the toolbar of the contacts list (Download entire), then import the backup file (rightclick->Export/Import->Import...), choose "Intelligent import", sync the new data to the phone.

Then restart at "Donwload entire", import.... until all contacts are on your phone
