Found solution: I had my old HTC desire still in 'base'. But since I was getting SMS-es normally on Note2 I thought the switch was 'automatic', since HTC had no SIM card. I had to get rid of HTC desire [File>User>Delete user] and remove and presto messages work normally. Thank you & I'm very glad it works the way I'm used to. Keep up the good work.
