I've been using this wonderful software for so many years I've already lost track, I couldn't live without. Now unfortunately something happened where I've had to try the last week or so, I can't stand it, help!
For no apparent reason (I didn't install anything or change any system settings prior to this) MPE just started crashing everytime I tried to open it. I would click on the MPE toolbar icon, it would attempt to open the main MPE window (you can see a very dim whited out normal MPE window), and then I here the windows error sound, and the "MyPhoneExplorer has stopped working - Windows can check online for a solution to the problem." error message pops up. Of course checking online comes up with nothing, so I can only close the program. If I click on "show problem details", it shows this:

Does that help at all? Before posting this here, I uninstalled it, and upon trying to reinstalling it, it would say "MPE is already installed" even though it wasn't. I did a search on these forums and found out that was due to it still being in the registry, so I deleted all registry entries, and it installed fine. But as you can see, that didn't help, I still have the exact same problem.
Any advice or solutions?? Thanks if so, I need this software. |

Please install the current beta and try again: http://www.fjsoft.at/files/MyPhoneExplorer_DebugUpdate.exe
If this does not help then open the databasefolder of MyPhoneExplorer with Start-Run-%appdata%-OK and rename it to "MyPhoneExplorer_backup" |

Just to confirm, this is to be installed over the current installation? I uninstalled the current one to install this and then it said I'm missing MPE, so I guess I'll install the latest full build first again and then this. I'll keep you posted... |

WooHoo! It worked! Thanks soooooo much guys. I was just thinking today it was such a pity that you guys haven't responded yet, I thought maybe it just wasn't gonna be fixed and I'd have to start shopping around for another sync software, you guys really saved me though, sorry I was almost too impatient. Might I just ask, out of curiousity, what the problem was? (perhaps I can avoid it again later, or just because maybe I did something that hasn't been met yet?). Anyway, working good, thanks guy |

I do fix alot of bugs all over the time and i cannot remember about this exact problem - sorry. But its fixed so everything should be OK |

Hi,
Unfortunately, it just started doing it again today for absolutely no reason I can think of. It worked yesterday and the hundreds of times since I used the debug program you suggested. I woke up today, started it at usual, and boom "App crash". I didn't change a thing since the last time I synced it. Any ideas? Any fixes? Please please help, I NEED your awesome app!

i have the same problem except it never worked on WINDOWS 8 in the beginning.
So was just wondering if there is a patch already for this yet? |

Damn aliguu, you got me all excited to open my email and see "new reply." So far we've yet to heard from FJ, but here's hoping he'll pop up with a quick fix for us, or at least an explanation on what went wrong so I can revert to back when it was working. I NEED this program! |
