0044 automatically changed to +44

I want all my international number dial prefixes to be 0044, 0022 etc, however the latest version of MPE keeps automatically changing them to +44, +22 etc :-(
I can't find an option to stop this, is there a tweak to avoid this happening?

P.S. Just moved from my old SE K800i to an HTC running Android... so happy I can keep using MPE in the same way :-D
Thanks so much for such a great piece of software :-)

Try this:

Check all contacs at the same time -> right click -> format contacts

There is a setting for intl. numbers.

If this doesn´t help i´d check for the settings in your phone.

MyPhoneExplorer does uses the + sign as international prefix. The + is more standarised than 00 - what is the cause for you to use 00 ?

Interesting... just toggled on and back off the following and the problem has gone away :-)
Right click > Format Number > Correct numbers
Many thanks

Actually, scrap that last comment it's doing it again :-(

It didn't do this until I last updated MPE.
Currently I have to edit them from + to 00 on the phone which is a bit annoying.
I would rather use 00 than + as I have some older devices that don't like storing telephone numbers with a + at the beginning :-(
Thanks

What devices are that? Even S/// phones from more than 10 years ago could handle the +49 format.
