Updated, then sync wants to delete all phone contacts
Verfasst: Mo 25. Aug 2014, 10:50
Hi,
I have updated both the PC client and the phone app to the latest versions (PC 1.8.6; phone 1.0.34) two or three days ago.
This morning, I launched a multi-sync, then several separate Contacts syncs today and the sync recap window ("Confirmation for sync") shows that MPE wants to delete 320 entries in the phone. The "Entry in Windows Contacts" section is empty for each of the 320 entries.
The phonebook.dat file is 82.9 KB in size. When I open "C:\Users\<my user name>\Contacts" using a file explorer, I can see 320 items in that folder.
I don't know what is happening. But the problem is that I can no longer synchronize my contacts. All the rest sync'ed easily although I have read a "Downloading 3259 messages" (SMS'es) when I launched the multi-sync. Anyway, each time I've tried to sync the contacts and saw MPE wante dto delete things, I aborted the sync.
It seems like MPE 1.8.6 can't see that the entries are already in Windows.
FJ, any thoughts or solutions? Thank you!
