Hidden adware: Can I still trust Myphoneexplorer?

I've updated to version 1.8.6 and am shocked by the fact that adware was installed during installation. I use myphoneexplorer for many years and was about to donate money today; but not anymore.

In this post http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22753 it says that you are informed during installation about the fact that adware will be installed. I don't usually read EULAs in detail, but I skim over the text and noticed nothing. So, I tried the installer out again to check if you are really informed.

And that's how it works: You are first presented the regularar EULA, and 1-2 screens later, another EULA is presented. I hadn't considered this could be something different than the EULA of myphoneexplorer - but in fact this is the EULA of the adware, and you have to reject this one.

That's not transparent, that's tricking people. Remember: myphonexplorer deals with very personal, highly confidential data. I don't trust this software anymore. Who know where my data will be synchronized to tomorrow. How can I be sure this will not be done?

Mr. Wechselberger - do something to restore confidence in your product! You are destroying your reputation rapidly!

So sad...

It would help if you had done some research first. A simple glance down the threads on this forum would have shown several threads talking about the same thing.

What sense would it make to present the EULA for one product twice?

This is not about how to install or get rid of adware, this about trust. I've trusted this software so much that I didn't see the need to monitor the installation process closely. But I was wrong Sad

Well, the software comes for free. What did you think how this is funded?
