Problems with contacts & calendar on Moto G

Problem 1.
I have just bought a Moto G 2nd gen today & I used MyPhoneExplorer to import my data (sms/contacts/calendar/call logs) from a Galaxy Grand i9082. After doing so I find that in contacts (phonebook) the birthdays & anniversaries have not been imported & in some cases even ‘Notes’ in contacts. I find this strange as I have used this s/w from my Sony Ericsson K750I then migrated my data to a Samsung Galaxy Ace 5830 (Gingerbread) with no loss of data then onto a Galaxy Grand. But now on migrating to a Moto G running 4.4.4 I am stuck with this problem.
Problem 2.
Is there any way I can keep my calendar entries only on my phone AND NOT synced with my google a/c. if this is not possible then is there any other app that I can use as a substitute which can sync with MyPhoneExplorer and keep data locally.

Problem 1: This can be a problem of your contacts-app on the phone too. To verify this please check if the data are also missing in the contactslist of MyPhoneExplorer. If they are there then they are in the phone too.

Problem 2: In the settings of MyPhoneExplorer Client on the phone go to "Manage local calendars", create a calendar and change the setting "Calendars to sync..." so that only the local calendar gets synced.
