Gmail Contacts no longer syncs in MyPhoneExplorer 1.8.6.

This feature worked fine up to recent times.

I set this feature in MyPhoneExplorer as follows:
File --> Settings --> Sync --> Contacts Sync with Google (Gmail)

When I sync my contacts I receive the following error message:
"Error message: Loading entries from Google failed!"
"404 Not Found"

From the error message it looks like Google has made some changes to url paths.

Can this problem be corrected at my end or does it require a software revision?

The problem itself can´t be fixed by the MPE but there are hints what to do.

From the forum search I found two relevant posts:

Both posts do not suggest a solution or even a hint of a solution.
What am I overlooking here?

This is not an authentication issue but rather a "MPE can not find the url path" to access the gmail authentication service. Hence the 404 error.

Does this mean that FJ Software is no longer supporting MyPhoneExplorer?

Just to follow up on this post. I changed my Gmail password in MPE (File --> Settings --> Sync --> Contacts Sync --> Advanced) to see if this would cause an authentication error. No go, same error as before:
"Error message: Loading entries from Google failed!"
"404 Not Found"

Which tells me that MPE is not pointing to the current Gmail authentication service url.
