calendar sync issue

using MPE version 1.8.7 and client version 1.0.39 and been syncing my calendar of Outlook 2003 with my Samsung S6 with no problems but all of a sudden it now wants to delete 4365 events in my phone...I keep aborting the sync but not sure what to do to correct this. The sync settings are to compare only changed events, sync both, sync all events. These settings are the same as they have always been.
