Hello, I have changed to a new phone (Vodafone Platinum 7) & am trying to sync to Outlook contacts on my work laptop using MPE. Also moved to latest MPE version at same time. Initial copy from Outlook to Phone worked fine but since then the Sync often fails where the Bluetooth connection drops even though it was up before I start the Sync.
I have set the MPE App setting to "Avoid Standby Mode" as FAQ indicated this could be reason but that did not resolve the issues
Anyone any ideas:
Vodafone Platinum 7 (Android 6.0.1)
Laptop Win 7 32 Bit
MPE Version 1.8.7 |

Hello, Still have this issue - is there any support available for MPE from MPE Developer?

Hello all,
I still have this issue. Steps to re-produce
Connect Via BT ok
Manually inititiate Sync between Phone & Outlook
If the Sync finds that either phone or Outlook requires an update to a contact, I press Ok & then I get message that Connection to Phone not Possible.
Check contatcts & they will show not updated\synced
Manually re-connect to Phone via BT.
Initiate Sync again - usually what happens now is the sync just completes with no addition dialogue.
Check contacts & they are actually updated & in sync.
Summary: To sync ok I need to Sync\Phone auto disconnects\Manually Re-Connect & Re-Sync.
Very frustrating as apart from additional steps to workaround, it takes very long for 1st sync step to time out.
Please, Pretty Please - can anyone support a struggling user who really likes MPE but is rapidly falling out of love & needs marriage counselling. |

Hello Dave,
Thanks for the tips.
WiFi is not feasible as Laptop is on company WiFi & can't connect Phone to that WiFi. I will try USB to see if I get the same behaviour but if it works ok it does not solve my issue as Bluetooth is how I would like to sync - I move a lot in work building so BT is much easier (in theory) option for me instead of need to carry a cable & pug in every time I would like to sync.
I sync quite often as I use the SMS functionality in MPE which is very useful.
