Hi, having an issue that I am struggling to pin down. I am running Windows 10 Anniversary and the latest MPE. Have been using it for ages with no issues until the other day. When I have my phone connected via WIFI (not tried USB yet) all the menus are taking ages to update, even within Windows. This only happens when MPE is running and AFAICT after doing a message send/receive (may be a coincidence). I have to reboot the PC and all is fine again.

Any suggestions? I have uninstalled MPE and removed all User Settings, downloaded a fresh copy and re-installed and re-synced the phone and get the same results.

I'm not a geek, but speed is usually better when connecting through USB ... at least so it is said for virtual screen.

This is also happening on my system - whenever any notification which is generated by either the MPE or an app like Google Maps and is shown on laptop screen, everything slows down after that and, like the OP, I have to reboot laptop.
This suggests it is more to do with Windows than MPE and I am trying various options to stop apps synching with MS..
If I find out, I'll update here.
