When I installed MPE on my PC [Windows 10] and phone [Android 7.7.1] MPE Notes and MPE Tasks appeared in the list of installed apps on my phone. There was no MPE counterpart for SMS conversations.
I set the MyPhoneExplorer client as my default SMS app and can successfully sync my SMS messages with the MPE desktop app. I can hear when my phone receives an SMS message and that message shows up in the desktop application but I can't figure out how to view/reply to that message on my phone.
I suspect that I'm missing something fundamental but can't figure out what.
Any suggestions?
Michael
Invisible MPE SMS app?
You aren't missing anything, that's the way it is (at least, that's the way I have it on my phone) : there's an icon on the phone for MPE notes, one for MPE tasks, and one for MPE main app, but none for an "MPE sms" app.
My understanding (as a mere user) is that MPE manages sms on the phone more like a background task, not a full "app" with an icon, user interface, etc... so it's the stock android sms user interface (or another app if you have installed one) that you use on the phone to send/read sms', there's no MPE-specific user interface.
Not sure if this responds to yr question but I thought I would have liked to get an answer if I was the one asking (which doesn't happen much around here, unfortunately)
