Office 365 Outlook Add-In not loading

I have just needed to re-install Win 10 and all my apps. MPE is restored and working except for the outlook menu. When i go to add-in's it shows the MPE add-in listed but un-ticked. when i tick it and re-load outlook it fails to load and says it is not a valid outlook add-in. I have re-installed MPE twice and the problem persists. Im running Win 10 & Office 365 with latest patches and MPE v1.8.11

Any ideas anyone please.

David

This I would try:

a) Use the repair function from Office and give it a try with Outlook.

b) Just install the MPE once again on your computer. You can just install it over the existing programm, that´s no problem.

Don´t forget to shut down the computer after every installing/reparing step.

I would post a screen pic but i cant work out how that works here.

however, as suggested , i repaired office/outlook with no errors. however, if i then attempt to load the add-inn, the add-in process leaves the following error:

Load behavior: Not loaded. A runtime error occurred during the loading of the COM Add-Inn

OK finally worked out how this site works with images !!
so as it was from install:
Bild

that image shows the add-in was listed but when i tried to make it active you can see it reported a runtime error.

so i removed that entry of add-ins and tried re-loading it manually:
Bild

this is the dll file i assumed was correct.

it responded with error:
Bild

I have seen some references to this error on this forum but in different contexts and no serious response on solutions. so to recap, before anyone asks:
win 10 home ed (latest patches to date)
off 365 Latest patches
MPE 1.8.11 (reinstalled multiple times, no fix)
It really does not like the dll so is it a buggy dll OR the wrong dll to load, and if so, what is the correct one please.

hi shuayb,

as you can see i never got a response. it bugs me that on a previous version of MPE it worked (i posted that over a year ago so not sure what version).

if you do find a solution via any other means, i'd appreciate you posting a solution.

Outlook Add-in

I dug a little into the german part of the forum with the help of Google translate and found out that the Outlook add-in only works with 32-bit version of Outlook.

It would take me lots of days to roll back to 32-bit Office, so I guess I'll just live without it. i will not hide that I am considering other alternatives like Microsoft's Phone Companion but I like MPE very much.

with you all the way on that.
as for MS Your Phone app, ive been running with it for some time. 1st version was pointless, almost only a 'view only' app. Now you can interact but still doesn't have the ability to delete sms records or fully interact with what it is showing you so still lags behind failing to allow updates to your phone data in many areas.

i kind of feel like im 'cheating on my partner' :D with using the MS app as probably like you, ive been a supporter of mpe for ages. it has remained far more functional than most other apps out there for long time an i regret having 'wandering eyes', but the interface is looking a bit tired now, doesn't have the new windows look about i think slowly but surely it will get left behind with the MS app. lets see, i shall not abandon MPE until ms app does everything that mpe does.

as for the 32bit news, thank you so much. my post had been on there for over a year and im very grateful of your update & info.

take care.
