Sony Xperia XZ2 - calendar sync

Hi,
Just replaced my Blackberry Z30 with a Sony Xperia XZ2 . I used to sync my calendar offline using the Blackberry Link app.

I have installed MyPhoneExplorer on both desktop and Sony phone. All connects fine. I can access the phone. Calendar is uploaded to the desktop MPE but not loaded to the phone.

I can see tasks on the phone MPE Tasks but nothing on the calendar.

Do I need to do anything on the calendar on the phone?

I use Outlook calendar on my PC and had no problems in the past with my Sony Xperia phones syncing that calendar. Just changed to an Xperia L2 phone and the calendar sync didn't work. Found that I had to use Google calendar on the new phone. You can sync your Outlook calendar to Google calendar by Settings/Sync/Calendars to sync. Put your gmail email address in the box "Add new events to". Maybe that will work for you.

I have a similar problem.
I use samsung note 8 and outlook on my pc.
Sync outlook to phone perfect cant figure if I have done it correct but cant get phone to sync with google calendar.
