I have Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact and MPE works quite well.
Do you use cabel connection? Do you have USB debugging on?

Hi Harry, What is the relese you have from MPE and android? My XZ2 Compact can't sync phone contacts in the last weeks after some updates...
