Android 11 file transfer phone to computer .trashed
It looks like files in the trash are included when I transfer files from phone.

If I look at files on the phone with Files in sd-card/DCIM/Camera there are no .trashed files .
If I look at the same folder with MyPhoneExplorer I see some .trashed-166 files

Workaround:
exclude .trash*

The .trashed files are hidden on the phone because of the beginning dot in the filename. Those files are in the recycle bin of your gallery app

I think it is strange that files from recycle bin are synced when I sync files from
\Extern lagring\DCIM\Camera\
to
C:\Users\Bertil\Pictures\
on Android 11.

Where do you put this exclude line? I can't see any the settings in the app I'm looking at to put a line like that.

Thanks, but mine doesn't look like that. I was running 1.8.12, so I updated to 1.9.0 (I see that the photo transfer process is redesigned, according to the changelog), but I still can't find the right settings screen. Here's what my settings screen looks like - how do I get to what you're seeing?

Thanks, found it.
I currently use Sync Photos. Do the Sync Files settings apply to photos too, or do I need to switch over to using file sync?

I am not sure what sync photos do; does movies sync too?
Under Sync Photos is sync files with edit and run job.
Sync files make it possible to sync any file to/ from phone/computer.
I do not use sync photos.

Thanks, I'll do my own experimenting. Syncing photos is set up in the File > Settings > Advanced 2. You can set things up so that when doing a multi-sync (calendars, contacts, etc.) it also downloads any photos and videos on the phone that you haven't already downloaded. It doesn't download things like WhatsApp media, but does pull from the ordinary camera storage folder. With Android 11, that now includes the .trash files, which is how I found this thread. I may need to use the File Sync instead, and manually tell it to look for photos. It seems I'd no longer be able to use date-specific subfolders on the PC if I do that.

Thank you.
Does photo sync scan all photos on the phone like SD-card, Internal memory, screenshots, edited and save them on the PC with the same folder/ subfolder structure.
With file sync any folder on the phone can be stored to any folder on the PC.
I think selecting sub folders option in file sync also saves files in the same folder structure on the PC.
