Some long messages are deformed

Beitrag von beyond »

MyPhoneExplorer 1.6.4, SE K750i (R1DB001 firmware)
Some long messages are deformed after transfer on the telephone.

Example 1 (2 SMS).

Step 1. MyPhoneExplorer - Messages - Drafts - New Message button - Message text:

Motorists yakking away, even with handsfree devices, just don't keep up with the flow of traffic, said study author David Strayer, a psychology professor at the University of Utah.

Step 2. MyPhoneExplorer - Save as draft

Step 3. MyPhoneExplorer - Refresh view

Step 4. Telephone K750 - Menu - Messaging - Drafts - Message text:
(...) at the University of Utah.

Question: why the text in the telephone is deformed?

Example 2 (2 SMS).

Step 1. MyPhoneExplorer - Messages - Drafts - New Message button - Message text:

Shannon said it's more likely that the launch will move into February. The shuttle almost certainly would have to wait until a Russian cargo ship is launched on February 7 and docks two days later.

Step 2. MyPhoneExplorer - Save as draft

Step 3. MyPhoneExplorer - Refresh view

Step 4. Telephone K750 - Menu - Messaging - Drafts - Message text:

(...)ched on February 7 and docks two days later.

Example 3 (5 SMS).

Step 1. MyPhoneExplorer - Messages - Drafts - New Message button - Message text:

It's not possible to get the "send date and time" from phone if the message wasn't send directly from MyPhoneExplorer. Off course, the timestamp of sending is shown in the phone, but there's no way of getting that out from it. At incoming SMS there are timestamps from SMS Service-Center, at outgoing SMS this timestamps are missing.
This is also a problem with other phones and software and isn't a problem of this software.

But if you want to edit the correct sending date and time, just rightclick on that message, select "properties" and then click on "No Indication" to edit the sending date and time.
Otherwise MyPhoneExplorer will read the timestamp of copying the message to the Archive-Folder to set this.
