'MPE has stopped working'

First, although it is unnecessary to say so, I want to say that I love your program. I'm on my third sony ericsson phone (w580i right now), and since the screen broke on it your program has enabled me to keep the phone I have while I have been...let's say financially challenged.
However, two days ago I started having issues with your program. I have version 1.6.7 and am running it on Windows Vista. Whenever I attempt to open the program, I get an error popup that says "MyPhoneExplorer has stopped working" and searches for a solution, before telling me that the program will be closed and I will be notified if a solution is found. My first response was to uninstall the program and retry installing it, however the uninstaller also stopped working. I have also tried to reinstall without uninstalling, however the installer also stops working in the same manner. Is this an issue of something simple, like program files becoming corrupted or something along those lines...or is there something specific i have to do to fix this?
