Hi,
I found a couple of bugs last week which I've just retested with the new 1.7.1. One of them is a crash, the other a minor export annoyance. Neither are big issues for me though and both are easy to avoid.
Crash
Set a password on the MyPhoneExplorer user, then close MPE. Start MPE and wait until you get the password prompt. Don't enter the password. Instead, right-click on the MPE icon in the SysTray and select Connect. MPE connects to the phone and then crashes.
CSV Export Problem
Manually set the time of a message to be 00:00:00, then export that message as a CSV file. MPE leaves out the time from the Date/Time field and exports it as something like "18/11/2008" instead of "18/11/2008 00:00:00".
That message also then looks odd if you look at the Message Properties again - it's shown with a date but no time. If you click on the date, you can edit the time again. Changing the time to 00:00:01 will cause the export to export the time again. |

With 1.7.0 I can confirm occasional crash problem, in a situations like writing SMS in MPE...in the moment you sent it- BANG! MPE crash.
One time it was during sync.
The system used is: WinXP SP3+MPE1.7.0<-> SE W200i, USB connection, Firmware CXC1250719 R4GC012 |

Hi all,
I had a similar crash while I was sending sms's. I found also something different. If you remember FJ I was the one who pointed out with the retry option in the SMS's if we get an error CMS+500 or something. In version 1.7.0 it was pretty good. In 1.7.1 this 'interval' must be smaller because I get more occasionaly errors. Can you please increase the value of this interval or place it in the settings.dat? |

The timeout for sending messages was not changed - its still 60 seconds. |

Is it 60secs for every message? I mean if I send the same message to 5 people and theres' a problem with one of the receipients then the application doesnt retry for 60 secs to the specific person, right? |

No - MPE sends the command to the phone and waits 60 seconds for response. Please tell me what you meant. I did no change in the sms-engine so i have to know which behavior you mean. |

I'm runing MPE on Vista, and it works like a charm until i remove the phone from the computer (without turning of MPE). The progam then crashes. I can't even right-click on the system-tray icon. And the stragne thing is that I can't shut down the process eather (i've found it in the application-handeling (don't know what this is in english, Ctrl+Alt+Del), but when i click "Stop process" nothing happens). I need to reboot my computer in order for MPE to work again (with is a true pain). If I try launching a new instance of MPE nothing happens (a new process pops up, and this one I can stop, but no GUI or working functions of any cind). |

If MPE cannot be killed throught Taskmanager then the driver blocks the process. Please reinstall your phone-drivers. If this does not help then the last option is to disable automatic reconnect in the settings. |

Hello,
About the CMS 500 Error, I had the same on my W960
Try this: clear all boxes (sent, inbox etc...)
Modify sms settings : no repport, trough gsm only
For me it was the key of success!
Try it...
See you. |
