Hi,in the new version of MPE I Have a problem, smses in arabic appear in MPE as Question marks, though in the "HTML" format Backup they appear truly but again in Text file backup they appear as a series of Question (?) marks,so what is wrong?
I use Win Xp Sp2- Usb Connection and MPE last version.

Thanks

The problem appears only in *.txt-Export ? Are the messages shown correct in the textbox below the list ?

No They aren,t shown Correct there; When I Said "appear in MPE as Question marks" I meant Exactly " the text box below the list".

So As far as I searched, this problem DOES Exists in these Areas and Export Messages Methods :

1.In the textbox below the list
2. Comma separated values( *.CSV) Export Messages Method
3. Text files (*.Txt) export Messages Method
And NOT Exist In : XML Document (*.Xml),MyPhoneExplorer Exported web site (*.Html) and Nokia Message File (*.Vmg).

Thanks

As you describe the behavior i think you have set the wrong system-charset. MPE is not fully unicode compatible so the system-charset has to be set to the same value as the used language and texts in MPE. The problem does not appear in XML and HTML cause they are UTF8-Encoded. For text and CSV-Files i don't think its needed. Especially for CSV it could raise problems to add the UTF8-Header cause many other apps does not interpret this header

OK,but how can I change to the Right system-charset?
What is the system-charset used by MPE?

Its shown in Controlpanel->Regional settings as "Charset for applications which do not support unicode"

Go to the Advance tab of Regional and Language option, there is a combo box to choose your favorite language.

OK,thanks,it worked.

So the address is : "Control Panel" --> "Regional and Language Options" --> "Advanced" Tab --> "Language for non-Unicode programs" Check list.
