About SMS...

Beitrag von gabri.ns »

I have some question, just for my curiosity.
If you can happily give me an answer, then i would say thanks. :)
If not, well, that's not a problem

the first is about Sent Messages, and yes, i already read the FAQ
i found another interesting thing about sent messages
if you save the message to SIM, the date would change to current time, the same behaviour as MPE do now
and when this saved messages read out by MPE, the date is still missing, what the...
so in my opinion, there is no way for MPE to read out sent message date, where ever it stored
is it true ? :?

@FJ:
has you ever create a J2ME app to read out message?
is the date still missing?

thanks for your answer :D

the second thing is about SMS that contain more than one message (i'll call it MultiSMS for short)
my phone can stores up to 200 message, and it shown corectly on Memory Status "Total", when there is no MultiSMS
but when there is, the Total field will decrease as much as count of message on thus MultiSMS

for example, when there is single MultiSMS that contain 3 messages, the Total field will decrease to 197 :?
it doesn't happen when i save thus message to SIM, the Total field of "SMS (SIM)" will still 40
is it a right behaviour?
why this happen?

EDIT:
i just read this post, http://www.fjsoft.at/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8535
and it's answer my second question
i try to empty my sms, and then send 2 message,
one is regular, and the other is MultiSMS with 3 messages length,
and the total field decreased to 196
it's look like there is one report for each message, even in MultiSMS

and when i send the same message via MPE, the Total field not decreased
i think the report message were totally intercepted by MPE :)

1) Its even not possible to read out the send-date throught J2ME on the phone

2) MPE just shows the values which are reported by the phone
