Calendar Sync going awry?

Hello,
I have lost all appointments in my calendar.

The sequence of events is as follows.
Phone updated MPE in the last couple of days.
Changed security on network to WPA2-personal.
Installed v. 1.8.6 of MPE.
Tried a sync, after which I noticed all appointments were missing. Photos and Contacts work OK.

During the sync there was a question from MPE, something about copy all appointments to phone. I didn't read it carefully enough and didn't understand it and said no.

I tried again after setting MPE Preferences to sync the last 500 days and the next 1000 days. It came up with lots of events with "create new event on phone" highlighted and I said OK. Nothing showing in the phone calendar app. It must be going somewhere - I just have to reconnect to the database?

I am attempting to sync between Thunderbird on Windows 7 Home Premium and a Sony Xperia Z (C6603) on Android 4.4.2 using the calendar app supplied. I am not sync'ing to Google calendar or any other. v. 1.8.5 worked fine.

How can I get my appointments back and sync in the future?

You have to check in the settings of the client on your phone.
Are the correct calendars checked for synchronizing?

Thank you for your reply.

I thought I had that set up correctly. The only thing is, another calendar has appeared (outlook.com) and I can't yet find out where to delete it. It is not being synchronised. I'll keep looking. It must be in there somewhere!

I found a post on an Android forum.

Settings > Apps > All Apps (sweep left a couple of times) > Calendar Storage > Delete data.

Run MPE sync. Dialogue box says something like "No data on Phone. Copy from MPE?" This time I read it properly and said "yes". And there it is! Yahoo!
