I have read a number of posts on how contacts are assigned to address books and confess to not completely understanding it. I am syncing with two phones and see Phone and Google books in MPE. The two phones are a Moto x4 on 8.1.0 and a Samsung Galaxy X on 5.1.1. I have had new contacts going to Phone which I have just changed to my Google email account.
When I entered new addresses on the Moto they appeared in the Phone book, but after a second sync were merged into Google. On the Galaxy they have stayed in Phone after repeated syncs.
I'd like to keep all my contacts in the Google book. Is there an easy way to move the Phone contacts to Google in MPE since Thunderbird does not distinguish between books so far as I can see? There aren't that many, so I don't mind doing it one-by-one, but can't figure out how to do it at all.
